I would like them to introduce a villain directly linked to Nightwolf. I know any bad guy can be considered his enemy but I would like to see him have his own sworn enemy based on a Wendigo.

The image I have in my mind of the Wendigo seems for Killer Instinctish but I think it could work. They wouldn't even have to bring Nighwolf back, his whole inclusion could be based on the fact that Nightwolf died in MK9 and hasn't been there to ward off this evil being.

Now that i think about it we could get fujin and a new character(or who ever the "baff" wielder may be) or fujin could be the xbox mag reveal. Think about it mk comes out in less than 3 months. They only have but so much time to reveal who they want and i doubt we get any reveals in april unless its dlc after release so they could be doing 3-4 characters per month till april. If they reveal just one more chacracter this month and assuming we get 24 and they only reveal 3 for the next 2 months thats still leaves 5-6 characters unrevealed.

My thoughts exactly when I first saw the image.
Someone else mentioned that given the coloration of the character and the menacing look of the bone staff/bow thing, that it could be Havik. While alot of it made sense, the clenched hand looks too human.
As for Fujin, unless NRS does some major revamp of the character, he's the God of Wind so why would he carry a big ass bone staff? I would think the God of Wind would carry something more akin to his character, or a very divinely ornate sword/spear. It just doesn't seem to match the character we've previously known of for Fujin.
Nightwolf, Bo Rai Cho or possibly Reiko are my candidates for that pic.

Maybe it COULD be Nightwolf, after all. I know people dismissed the idea at first because it's a real bow instead of one made of energy but he could totally have one variation that features a real, physical weapon.

Also, if you think about it, with him being a shaman and all he is probably one of the more likely 'dead' characters from MK9 to come back for MKX.

Demonic Nightwolf was my first thought, although not my first serious thought. I'd love to see Nightwolf come back, that'll be two down, two to go for dead characters I want back. I STILL can't stand that Nightwolf wasn't able to resist Quan Chi's hold on his soul. He has a means of purifying his himself, doesn't he? In his Deception ending he expels his tribe's sins.

HE of all can withstand evil. So him breaking free and coming back shouldn't be too difficult.

....there's something about a Bow wielder that doesn't set right with me. I can't put my finger on it yet. I..I just don't like it for some reason. Maybe because it's been done more times than it should in Fighting games....I just don't know...

And the thought that it could be Nightwolf's female relative doesn't sit easy with me also. I would like to see a freshly made new female character that doesn't remind us of an already existing character.

Looking at it again, I think it's probably more likely a scythe or a staff because as you can see from my shitty drawing it would be a pretty huge bow if it is.

I have a much easier time seeing this as a longbow rather than a weirdly curved scythe with a grip.

I'm hoping for a Scythe, I can imagine some sick juggles with a Scythe.

I can see where the longbow view comes from, but what pushes me away from it is that the bottom of whatever it is, is resting on the ground, and assuming the character is in a neutral 'battle ready' stance, that would more easily imply a long /staff/scythe/naginata/bladed instrument to me.

Someone wielding a longbow would be holding it differently - more 'ready', raised up sort of perpendicular across their body, with the other hand that we can't see on the string. Having the bow's tip on the ground like that is far too relaxed a combat-ready pose for someone who could use it at any moment. It's awkward, and that's an especially bulky-looking weapon, whatever it is.

However, resting the bottom end of a staff, scythe etc. like that is something you see pretty often - like the way Bo would.
