Something that really bothers me about Kai... why is he modelled in recent games with more African attributes. Isn't he supposed to be Nepali?

The MK4 strategy guide is the only thing that ever gave him a homeland, and it said he's from Detroit, Michigan.

His actual canon MK4 bio also said he met Liu Kang in America.

So...
Kai returning..lol..yeah, I don't see that happening.

In his MKA trading card video Ed Boon specifically stated he is African-American. No idea where people get the nepali stuff from.

Indeed but the third place match is on Saturday and as an avid football fan(I am Italian!) I will watch the third place match as well. I love this sport.

Why? It's not like it's impossible. He's not the most loved character but he's also not the most hated either. And if Tanya or Fujin both make it in then it's very likely Kai could as well. On top of that he's definitely a candidate to be the Kung-Lao/Liu of the game if they're both still dead or absent.

It's not that crazy.

I am gonna go ahead and say Raiden as well as the upcoming character reveal. When I read the post, it came to me that Raiden made sense

I think there is a 90% chance it's going to be Raiden. NRS always loves to play it safe.

But I sincerely hope it isn't, Raiden is way to predictable, and boring at this point.

I would put money on it being Raiden or maaaaybe Fujin, but most likely Raiden. Kinda dumb to think otherwise, Raiden is way more iconic and recognizable than a character like Kai and they're still in the process of getting word of this game out to everybody and hyping it up. And the quote just screams Raiden.

Exactly. People like Raiden can be saved until a few months before the game is released if I'm honest. I'd rather have a few curveballs thrown our way like Tanya or Havik, people we haven't seen in a while.

Oh I couldn't possibly have the link. I believe it was Shadaloo. Back then I had a different username and was very new to forums. I would like to think that those days are long gone.

HERE is the picture from E3 pre-release. I belive this is the picture he Photoshopped. Very different. Smoke and Noob were stil individual characters. I still maintain the belief that One of those spots may have been Sektor. Not sure. A lot of speculation was going on and I don't want to play elimination with the roster, anymore. haha.

Yes it is my username. Gotta have the avatar to go along with it.

I'm not a crazy fan, nor a fan of Shujinko for that matter. I would just like to see what NRS can do with him. Playable character or boss, doesn't matter. All my posts as much as all your posts are just speculation.

If the ones that think it'll be Raiden, I'll jump aboard and agree. If it's not Raiden, I'll feel free to say...told you so! If it is him, y'all can take credit for guessing right grin
