Kitana's her daughter and she has black hair. I don't think she's related to them or anyone Edenian. She, along with Torr, strike me as Outworld species.

I can see Ferra be a queen of a certain group of people in Outworld and Torr as a brute variant of the Tarkatan race or some other Outworld species and both are displaced by Shinnok's attempt to conquer the realms and when they meet, they team up with one another to survive. And then from there, they're integrated within the story.

That's my guess, it's an interesting find though it does make me curious to what the actual origins of both Ferra and Torr are.

I don't know about Ferrah, but I think that Tor is Shao Kahn. A brain-damaged, barely alive Shao Kahn that somehow managed to survive being destroyed by the Elder Gods (or possibly revived after-the-fact by Quan Chi), and who has attached himself to Ferrah because he has no clue what to do without someone ordering him around.
