Sad for me of all people to think, but I wouldn't count out this reveal being someone completely out of left field.

I would more than welcome the reveal being a cool new character or a refreshed older character like we've been shown so far. Those four I mentioned in particular or Johnny who I mentioned at the top of that post are on my most wanted list, however. Any of them being revealed would trump the excitement of a new character for me.

A brand new character would do it for me. The returning characters are getting kinda boring via being revealed. With a brand new character introduced, there will be a lot of discussion. With another returnee, it will be a short discussion.

1 brand new character is all I want, then they can reveal more returnees then after.

However, the reveal will most-likely be a returnee...sigh

Even though I'm rooting for Reptile, I agree that it's either Kenshi, a new character or a female fighter + a new arena.

Speaking of arenas, I'm curious as hell as to which classic stages are making a return.

There's a lot of "I have a feeling" posts in this thread. Never trust feels. Feels feel differently at different times.

Of course is NEO and Goro. There's no doubt. But this time around give more kinesis moves to Ermac than Kenshi. He is just a ripoff of him and now Noob Saibot. If it was me I'll exclude Kenshshi and give back all the moves to Ermac, fuck Kenshi. Very unoriginal. Ermac is legend!

Ermac is fully kinesthetic and Noob has shadow's. Kenshi is totally different than both in MK9. We can do without Noob and Ermac this time. Kenshi will be in.

I'm really hoping for a new character, but to be perfectly honest, I would be happy with ANY character at this point. I'm also very excited to hear more about the online modes.

I'd like to see what they can do with him, if he is in, especially after what happened to him in MK9. Maybe he will become neutral/anti-hero?

I know they can fix Shang from his disastrous inclusion in MK9. They better give him his Soul Steal fatality back! A combination of his MK2/MK3, first MK movie or a totally brand new one.

It's about time for the news drought to end. I wish we'd get some solid news before the year ends, but I'll take what I can get.

If the next character reveal is indeed the owner of boot#2, I think it's going to be Johnny, Kenshi or a new character. I hope the dead characters aren't announced before the release of the game (to keep at least some suspense going).

Hell yes! I'm still of the opinion Shang Tsung got the biggest shaft in MK9(and in a game where a shit load of characters got the shaft, that's saying something), so I'd be happy to see Shang Tsung come back with a vengeance for MKX.

I've been wondering for a while now if the Deadly Alliance arc will be reprised in a twisted new way. The font of the text used for this game is very, very similar to the victory font used in Deadly Alliance. It may very well be a simple coincidence, but maybe it's a deliberate nod to that era for an as-of-yet unrevealed reason.

How awesome would it be if Quan Chi resurrected Shang Tsung? I could see Shang as a wraith, easily. It would be the perfect time to bring back his MK3 look, too. Doooo eeeeeet, NRS!

A Shang reveal would be an instant pre-order for me. But I'm honestly expecting Mileena or Kenshi.

In any case, I'm glad we're getting new info. Even if it's a character I don't like (Here's looking at you, Johnny), the drought is ending!

As cool as Quan Chi looks this time around, Shang Tsung finally beating the fuck out of him would definitely be a epic, feel-good moment in the series.

Except that Cassie plays more like a combination of Sektor and Stryker than any of her parents... Johnny and Sonya moveset was quite different.

There is light on the black thing, resembling the shape of a fold as it doesn't cover the whole thing, and if you look close to the leg, you can see the thing has a back part and a frontal part as there is a bit of the floor that you can see as the frontal part in that angle ends closer to the floor but doesn't reach the leg.

Not to mention you can even see the sewings there. At least it really looks like a trench or a cape rather than a hole in the arena.

JadedReign - Call it foolish hope. As Detox said, he got screwed pretty bad in MK9 and I wouldn't want that to be the end of the great Shang Tsung. He has a ton of potential in this game and I want him to secure a spot in the roster, so why not bring in the next sorcerer? Here's hoping to his reveal

If it is a cape/trench coat, that certainly out rules Kenshi as I can't see him wearing something like that. I can see Johnny Cage wearing a trench coat if they rolled with the Seido route. Maybe a new incoming character, perhaps?

We will find out Jan 2nd. Hope the character gets leaked before then in some way.

Kenshi wore something with a cape (so to speak) in his MK9 alt, y'know.

I'm not going to take any guesses as to who will be revealed, regardless.

Har har. They exist the Vita port. Clearly, they had originally planned for the DLC to have them on home consoles, based on the Skarlet alt found via hack; they were put into the Vita version instead.
Tl;dr: they exist. Kenshi has an alt with a cape.
