If you ask me, it could be kinda cool if Sektor uploaded himself into a new body and then assimilated Cyrax and...Smoke...somehow? But in doing so had their consciousness uploaded as well so that different personalities manifest at different times?
I'm reaching here but a cyborg with a constant mental battle for dominance going would be kinda cool.

A lot of us were expecting it but that doesn't make it any less awkward. I want it to have some kind of flare that will actually make it at least KIND of appealing.

By having it be either Cyrax, Sektor, or Smoke. Not all three.

Bit late for that, mate. I wish it wasn't the case, but I'm just working with what we've got.

Maybe have a different arcade ending for whichever variation you're playing as
I was against the idea of a 3 in 1 character...But in this case, i think i like it. If it's a cyborg (probably Sektor based on the trailer) somehow programing the properties of other cyborgs into a new body, it works well. Definitely excited to play him.

As of right now I'm SALTY as fuck about the Triborg...maybe once I see it in action my opinion will change.

I don't get how Cyber-Smoke is an option when they went out of their way to make sure Cyber-Smoke didn't exist in this timeline. **shrugs** I'm intrigued either way.
Also, someone on TYM suggested the name Lin Kuei SCS...it doest exactly roll off the tongue, but its better than tri-borg

The triborg is the only interesting thing to come out of Kp2 and the only one I will probably end up buyin but I want to know how it has a smoke variation? Smoke was never cyberised in this timeline so for it to have a smoke variation makes no sense unless it is explained well through a back story but I fear that the tri Borg will have no story relevance what so ever and is merely thrown in as a way to appease and pry money out of the pockets of fans of the three cyborgs.
However if it is story relevant then that sucks too as a smoke fan I have waited for ever for him to come back in human form and for him to again be a cyborg somehow??? Well that is just disappointing to me

Definitely thought Chamelon with the shifting of colors...
Is Triborg the official name, or just a placeholder.

Yeah, the attention to detail is pretty sweet. I initially thought palette swap when I first watched, but was pleasantly surprised upon repeat viewing.

Is that Smoke though? The generic Lin Kuei cyborgs were grey. A squad of them took Kuai Lang in MK9.

I actually think they could implement an interesting story idea. With Sektor's head intact, what most people have already thought of was for him to comeback somehow because of that. So I could totally see a scenario where Sektor's conscious uses another body and I guess somehow assimilates the other cyber-ninja's aspects and powers.
And after thinking about it, I actually welcome Tri-borg if only because it kinda reminds of me of the Trilogy days with C/Khameleon and so, Tri-borg is MKX's version of that for the cyborgs.

Maybe it's not an official cyberized Smoke. Maybe Sektor and his goons were trying to replicate Smoke's powers or some shit, I dunno.

I am defenitly hyped!!
Three different costumes = three different characters? (in one)
I hope the variations are the characters, something like noob-smoke in MKD.
They all look good!!
Cant wait...

Make this cyborg a prototype model Sektor kept hidden away. Suddenly being activated and on the loose.
Downloading Sektor and Cyrax's data to take for himself along with untested and unused data from Smoke developed before Sindel killed him.
Name it Tekunin instead to honor Sektor's ideals (EVERYTHING IS COOLER WHEN WE ARE ROBOTS)

Wait. hold the phone.
I'm confused. Why do people think triborg is his own stand alone character?? I thought this was just NRS's way of getting each cyborg into the game without taking three slots and/or giving each one three variations. I don't see triborg as a Chameleon type of character, as in having his own identity. Like I fully expect each variation to have their own personal intro's relative to who they are, like Sektor will have beef with sub, cyrax will ally with special forces, smoke will have his own lines to sub zero. I mean knowing its NRS and they're lazy as fuck I expect only one character bio and ending but the bio and ending will still touch on all three SEPARATE characters (like maybe Sektor took control of the other two and they are all working together).
I will be beyond bummed if triborg is his own character and all three cyborgs share the same body. That would literally be the last straw for me with this fuckin game. Thats like an Armageddon level of fuck up to the story.
Also, I don't mind if Cyber Smoke is in the game as long as its not cannon to the story, kinda like pred, jason, alien, and leatherface.
