And Shang Tsung's Island DID just become a focal location in the comic book. And were a NEW baddie to take up strong residence there, you'd think he'd want to move right into the Throne Room.

The holograms even seem to be somewhat broken serpent pillars... as if in a locale... somewhat abandoned/derelict. Which is the case of said Island.

So hey, something occurred to me earlier.

Even if Fujin isn't playable. (Or Smoke, or Stryker, or Bo Rai Cho, or Sareena or Anyone)

Even if Fujin isn't fightable in story mode (Or again, Anyone)

Who's to say... these lads and ladies. Who we've seen in cameos, but not in action. May not still show up as opponents in special events/living towers.

I mean I think we're all agreed that Fujin (and other characters) look pretty detailed and well crafted, but we continue to hear nothing about him being playable, and he's not listed as one of the characters rumored to even be a story fight thus far BUT... that makes a degree of sense, as he's a good guy.

BUT... to be optimistic. Maybe he IS crafted to be fightable... just not in the modes we've seen thus far. As maybe (hopefully) some of the other characters are too. I'm pretty sure the developers confirmed at some point we can expect to see some surprises like this in the living towers/special events. SO who knows?

If they were feeling really ambitious they might even be able to patch new fighters in for special events. *Shrug*

mind you,there's a secret fight in the Towers. who is the secret tower fighter is still unknown.
