Havik & Reiko in story mode?
With Shinnok's imprisonment part of the MKX story mode, how come people easily dismiss the part of Havik & Reiko since it happens AFTER? Reiko has been part of the comics from the beginning, not just a small appearance. Then there's the fact they are after the amulet, after the daggers and mention becoming the blood god. Havik is cleric of chaos, mentioned by Raiden. Lastly, using the island of Shang Tsung and his line being a reference to the one by Shang Tsung in the 1st MK movie, isn't it an obvious tease for Havik to replace him and have an important part in the story? Reiko as well.
Two things from the game that could work in these guys favour are: the mention of chaosrealm in the factions trailer and in the background of Crossroads you see a building on the floating rocks. This could easily be the library stage, which floats and has Shao Kahn's garment and hammer. Reiko has always tried to look like Shao Kahn and take over. Obvious hints.
The sad and also fairly obvious consequence of this all could be that Havik & Reiko are killed, since there's the one dagger that is lost with Havik claiming he knows where it is. Quan Chi for example could have it and fight them for it or kill Havik & Reiko once they have the daggers. This would however be rather disappointing.

I think atleast one of them if not both will be in the story mode, and possibly the bosses.
also Raiden was the one that said one dagger was lost.
Havik said he knew where all the daggers were.
and hoping Reiko makes DLC if not playable from the start

Can you imagine the intos between Reiko and Mileena? Especially as they have been sleeping together lol!
Exactly, they also kept the fact that Reiko still wants to become the emperor but with the possibility of becoming a Blood God he could be a final boss!

Havik and Reiko are certainly going to be featured in the story mode. The comic series up until now served as a prequel to set up the story for the game, with Reiko being a heavily featured major character. The library stage is the same background shown in the comic where Reiko is shown first talking to Havik in Issue #4. Those books are Reiko's. I think Havik will be more of an advisor to Reiko and not a central "bad guy". His nature is to do whatever leads to a higher state of entropy/chaos across the realms. He doesn't necessarily have any aspirations for power or control himself. That's why it makes sense that he is willing to help Reiko become the blood god.
It seems like Havik and Reiko's goals are in line with Quan Chi's goals. They want to unite the kamidogus. The way I understand the story, that would lead to 1) the release of Shinnok and 2) the creation of a blood god due to the demon (Havik) corrupting the blood magic. So it seems like there could be some sort of partnership between chaos realm and the netherrealm brewing, with outworld being the chess board where their plan is unfolding. At this point, I don't really understand how someone could deny the chances that Reiko and Havik will be featured heavily in the game. I think it could possibly be related to the problem of thinking of a singular big bad. MK storylines are notorious for being convoluted. But once again, my pick for the big bad is blood god Reiko Khan.

I think Havik will be kept as a fun unlockable character. Fans will love it. The armor and wrath hammer in the library stage will be part of the Reiko Khan costume, which explains why Reiko kept his old costume in the comics.

The one dagger that's lost is the one Sub-Zero has. That's why Raiden says it's lost, which leads into the story about Sub-Zero.
Sub-Zero took it years ago and vanished. That's why it's "lost" to Raiden. We as readers, have more information than he does.
Whether or not Sub-Zero still has it, is something only time will answer. I presume this has something to do with the conversation Cassie's Team goes to have with him in the story trailer. They likely track him down for leads on the dagger and/or more information on the plot at hand in general. Frankly I'd more or less bank on him NOT having it anymore, which does mean it's still missing, but that's still not why it's missing to Raiden in the comic.

The only way they would not appear in story is, like you say, if they're killed off in the comics. I personally don't think they will be, or at least really hope they won't be, it could be really cool to see them in the final boss and sub boss positions.
I forget who, but someone high up said it was obvious who the final boss was by viewing the story mode trailer. This is very cryptic, because on the
one hand, he could be saying it was someone we saw (like Shinnok), or he could be saying it's someone not present in the trailers. After all, why give it away before the game even comes out? I've also heard that both bosses would be playable this time around, meaning they would be characters with balanced abilities and not like hack Shao Kahn.
Since Shinnok is defeated in the flashback portion of the story, it diminishes his probability as the final boss. The fact that there's no sign of Havik or Reiko in the trailers plus there prominence in the comics could be working in their favor for the top two seats.

I think Havik will fill the same roll as Quan Chi had in MK9: an herald of whats to come. I ́m sure Havik will be the piece that will lead into the next game. It makes sense though: MK9-emperor of outworld MKX-elder god and blood god MK11-Order and chaos
And bythe moment I would bet my ass that Reiko will be the final boss, probably first as a sub-boss and later as a God.
What i ́m missing (and his is far the usual whinning) is more bad guys sided with Reiko and Mileena

While there will be a rivalry between Kotal Kahn and Mileena for claim of the throne, I feel like Kotal and Reiko will be a more personal rivalry since they've worked together as close allies. With Kotal potentially becoming a blood god and Havik alluding that Reiko will be able to achieve that status, it seems like the perfect opportunity for them to butt heads.
Not only that but it seems they're Shinnok's main hope for freedom. They also have knowledge of the Kamidogu, which will be an important and integral part of the story, and the two of them are the only ones who really know its potential aside from Raiden himself.
They gave Rain a new look in the game despite him having a recycled look in the comic and odds are he won't be more important than being Mileena's ally. I don't see why they won't do the same for these two.

I will not be surprised that Havik will help both the bad guys and the good guys for shits and giggle. He is supposed to be chaos incarnate.
Because of MK4, I do wonder if NS will still have Reiko have ties to the Brotherhood of the Shadow as well as Quan Chi.

I think they will have others helping them. So far it's Havik, Rain and Goro; but I feel that maybe this is the chance for Tanya to be included. Perhaps she has been in the netherealm making sure that Kitana isn't going to show up to claim the throne from Mileena, but comes into it when she feels the revenants have a chance of becoming human again. This would then reveal another ally for Mileena and Reiko, and be a way to bring Tanya into the story.

I think we found our final boss. Maybe Reiko is unlockable or the sub-boss. Could always be the other way around but I'm guessing Shao's wannabe is more likely.

Agreed. I was previously thinking that I'd only be happy if Reiko has the big bad. But honestly I'd be just as happy with him playing a substantial role in the story and being playable. That being said, I like his chances to be the big bad. The only characters with a comparable chance are Havik and possibly Liu Kang.

After seeing reikos library in the comics matching up with that library stage in MKX featuring Kahns hammer I think reikos inclusion in the game is a certainty as what I am not sure playable hopefully but he could be a boss or sub boss
@Noob-Smoke Exactly! I also think it's possible that it could be Havik. The dead body that is hanging there, could it be that he's made from demon infected blood? So Havik trying to create a goon who can become the blood god?

Havik is 100% in the story mode but 50% playable. Reiko I say 50% for story and 50% playable.
