Ideas about Fatality Execution on MK7

posted06/06/2005 01:08 AM (UTC)bySubzero2Ive seen in some of the video clips of MKSM where fatalities were being performed. Im not quite sure how they do it yet but seeing those videos have givin me some ideas on how they can be performed in MK7.
I think that when the announcer says "Finish Him/Her" there should be like 4 or 5 question marks that appear in the middle of the screen and right above it should be buttons that you need to hit in order to perform those fatalities just like on MKSM. I think that you should be able to hit a certain button such as the change fighting style button in order to choose which fatality you would like to perform with that character. In order to make this less confusing I would suggest that distances (close, sweep, far) should not play a part with this type of Fatality execution, you can simply do it where you are standing and your character will move his/herself to the approapriate area.
Another idea I have is Keeping the same Fatality execution that is incorporated in MKD. Change nothing about it not even the distances. Only thing that I would add is, when the announcer says "Finish Him/Her" you can pause it and instead of showing your character moves, it will show you there fatality buttons. For those that might not like this idea it would not hurt them at all because it does not intefere with their game play. If they know the Fatality by heart they will just do it instead of looking at the list.
Good Idea, Bad Idea?

I like the second idea.
Wouldn't it be good if you were able to perform Fatalities in Practice mode?

How about in-round executions for each style, where the character executes a realistic fatality like nek breakers, and so on, making the game realistic (though it should be resticted for the use only after heavy damage have been dealt out) LETHALITY
Real fatalities involving supernatural or grotesque deaths, should remain for the end of the second won round.

one thing that pissed me off about deception was the fact that you had to be certain distances to pull off fatalities, i want them to be like they were in deadly alliance where it didnt matter where u were you could pull them off easily , it just annoyed me so much to have to fight 2 rounds to see a fatality and for it not to work because i was half a centimetre too close ,
But thats just my opinion , feedback?

I was thinking that the in-round kills should be restricted. But there is no logic in havint to wait 2 rounds if you have the opportunity to kill in seconds.
it's just stupid. Look at B.I.O. freaks (mediocre, but fun). It would require some kind of long string of stunning moves to pull that off. Other than that, I'm fed up with MKs supersofisticated means of execution. The game has began loosing it's very reason of making us shiver.

Fatality Execution, eh?
In my opinion, they shouldn't have any distance stuff. That is one of the things I liked a lot about MK: DA. I know that there has to be debugging and such with the fatalities, but if they can put in the fatalities without having to do them at a certain distance, I'll be satisfied.
When it says "Finish Him!" or "Finish Her!", I think you should have the option of doing some kind of attack or combo in a certain style or maybe do a special move to beat them.
In addition, if you switch to the Fatality stance and press a certain button, you do a certain finisher. So what I'm getting at is that I would like to see one button finishers. The finishing moves should always only be able to be performed when in the Fatality stance. Each character should of course have at least 2 Fatalities. Perhaps 2 buttons can be for Fatalities and the other 2 buttons can be for some other kind of finisher move.
