He added pinball machine to his gradient background.

I just looked at it and this is my conclusion:
There are three machines; one is yellow, one is red, and the other is bluish grey. I think it's a hint for all three cyber ninjas being represented as 1character, 3 variations.
If they do go that route I hope they have an ALT that puts them in human form.

Unfortunately, that's the first thing that popped into my head as well. Gameplay wise it sucks. It's the biggest fear I've had since the variation system was announced. Story wise though......perhaps someone rebuilds Sektor or Cyrax (depending on how Sunday's issue goes) and gives them an "upgrade" so to speak.

Frost revives Sektor using his head. They raid the old underground base to retrieve weapons.
Not quite Cyrax, not quite Smoke(who was never Cyber in this timeline) but adds the net and bombs to a variation. I would be ok with this really. I hated the idea at first but if they include it into the story I would be fine with it.
Truth be told, I'd rather have Cyrax be alive.

that's a terrible idea, they didn't make the variation system just to cram 3 characters into one.. Seriously have you thought that idea through at all? You want To learn 3 completely different sets of combos and set ups for the same character slot? Don't get me wrong I love the cyborgs and hope sektor and cyrax make it in, but NRS is past the pallete swap bullshitI just looked at it and this is my conclusion:

Yeah, it'd rub me the wrong way but then again, characters already share other traits in the game and it still rubs me the wrong way *cough Noob Cage cough*
At this point, I hope Cyrax is still alive and I'd honestly rather he go back to the Lin Kuei instead of heading to the Special Forces. But that's just me.
Guess we'll find out eventually.

I would be cool with either way, it could just be a base and there could be a Sektor/Cryax/Smoke variation (but obviously wouldn't be one cyborg switching between these) or they could try to make it make some sort of sense in story and have it so one cyborg upgrades himself with the tech of the other 2 and the variation cues would likely just be colors (Yellow for Cyrax tech, Red for Sektor tech, and Grey for Smoke tech)
I would probably want it to be "non canon" though, that way they could all be their own characters again in future games.

It most likely would be non-canon, I'd hope. Either that or the cyborg gets destroyed and rebuilt again whenever their next appearance is so they're back to normal. I wouldn't be okay with it but I'd live.

It's not that different from learning different combos using the characters with very different variations. He's not talking normal moves here. He's talking Sektor that has a net and bomb in one variation or Cyrax that can use a flame thrower in one variation.
Basically, getting one of the current cyborg who gets hints of the other ones in his variations, not unlike Kitana getting Jade's moves none-canonically.

Exactly what I was thinking, that would be perfect IMO.

They were ed boons first games so they probably aren't hints

The 3 cyborgs in 1 idea is so terrible IMO.
Such a middle finger to the fans of those characters.
Cyrax fans, wouldn't you want Cyrax to be given the full MKX treatment? 3 variations, his own X-ray, his own fatalities/brutalities? Same to Sektor and Smoke fans.

Of course we would.
But I wouldn't mind if Sektor gets a net and bombs in a variation. It would still be Sektor and I would still want Cyrax.

It's a terrible idea and I really don't know where people keep getting this cyber smoke idea from how clear can it be smoke is not, never has been and most likely never will be a cyborg in this timeline.
He was never converted by the Lin kuie and now he is a revenant/Enera and the cyber Lin kuie are destroyed so I have no idea how people are expecting him to magically become a cyborg again. And anyway he is much better as a human then a cyborg

I agree. Smoke is better as a human.

People apparently cant grasp the concept of non canon ;) Think of it like Possessed Kenshi, it exists with absolute no in story info as to why, yet its in the game and everything is ok.
Also, Cyber Smoke doesn't need to exist in this timeline for Cyrax or Sektor to update themselves with similar tech lol

I must be the only person who likes this. Saves two roster spots for someone else, so it's like getting 6 characters instead of 4.
Besides, if the net wasn't given to predator, might as well bring back cyrax.
In addition, we'll get black blood (aka oil).
Come on SmEkTax or CyMokTor or SekMoTax or Cyborg 3.0.

Would that even work though? what would be the cyborg's name if you choose his no variation mode, just Cyborg? They would have to record different dialogues for intros for other characters to interact with the names Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke and Cyborg, along with the announcer. I'm not too sure how that would work out. If it is just one cyborg, I'd take Cyrax but any will do.

I'm pretty sure they'd just pick one of the two and say the particular cyborg got "upgraded" with more weaponry / technology.
I've actually wanted this to be the destiny of the cyborgs even before the variation system. Remember the Cyberneticist from MK9? And he was also on the MK Legacy series. He could be a new character, who basically turned himself into a cyborg. His MKX story could be that he assimilated Sektor and Cyrax's tech into himself and enhanced it (Perfect Cell anyone?). One variation is Cyrax influenced, 1 variation is Sektor influenced, and 1 could be completely original. Don't forget about Pulse Blades. Tech-moves can also be borrowed from Injustice Lex and Cyborg.
