I think because of MKDA. His arms were blue and frosty and they gave him the Kori Blade.

I'd would have been cool if one of the variations of Sub-Zero was unmasked.

Seeing as how they're not shy about showing this Sub-Zero's face in both the CG trailer and in fatalities, I don't see why they wouldn't give him an unmasked alternate.
If so, though, the components of the variations would have to switch a bit, or 2/3 would have his mask missing.

Of the three variations, Cryomancer sounds/looks amazing. That ice sledgehammer is badass.

My favorite is the Cryomancer, like the ice-weapon idea.

I'm least hooked on the Defensive one, don't like the looks and the ability I must first see in action I guess.

Nice, I like the medallion. Excited have a hand in throwing some clones. If he's got his enhanced slide from MK9 that flips the opponent over him, this variation could prove godly.

Still no scar on his eye. It's not Kuai Liang.

Kuai Liang got his Scar in the MK 1-3 era. He was automated this time. Meaning no scar. He also didn't have a scar in deception so the scar means nothing. Though I do love the scar and.wish it would return.

He didn't have a scar in 2011 so he wouldn't obviously have one now.

I'm loving the idea of tossing ice clones around. Great twist on the interactive stage elements (and Sub-Zero's moveset).
