Lets talk Arenas for MK10

In high hope that a new Mortal Kombat will be announced June 2nd, I scanned the first couple of pages here and couldn't find any threads to brainstorm with the community about possible new arenas to fight in. (If I missed a thread similar to this, feel free to lock this)
So let's get started!
Assuming this new MK will take place during the MK4 and possibly MK:DA, MK:D (even though I think it's unlikely it will include all of that story in one game), I still want NRS to stick with the 2D style fighting. It fits the series best and I think 3D fighting would just be a terrible idea. I was hoping for some stage fatalities that included a spiked ceiling, such as the Kombat Tomb
to make an appearance in MK9, unfortunately my wish never came true.
However, Shaolin Monks executed this perfectly!
I think making a new Goro's Lair
with a spiked ceiling would be amazing! But I'd still prefer a revamped Kombat Tombs arena, it's my all time favorite but I don't know if it would work.
Actually, the Netherrealm Arena would also be perfect for some uppercuttin' spike action.
I'd LOVE to see the Prison remade too, nothin' more satisfying than tossing someone into those blades.
Most death traps have been covered in MK9, except the Bell Tower of course. Only in our dreams..
Secondly, should there be weapons or skulls laying of the floor to toss at each other like MK4/Gold? If there was, it would have to be optional, maybe activated by a kombat kode because of the competitive community.
Personally, I wouldn't mind NOT having the feature to throw skulls, or spiked balls; it wasn't that fantastic in MK4, I don't know if it would translate well.
Weapons on the other hand, would be pretty cool if done right. At least for Fujin, that crossbow was ridiculously fun to use.
I don't know, just some ideas I had floating about while daydreaming for June 2nd. I hope we aren't disappointed! Feel free to list any other arenas you'd want to see in the new MK, personally I want to see:
Living Forrest
The Pit (I or III)
The Street
Possibly Subway again? If it's somehow different.
Netherrealm (Hell)
Wastelands
Nexus
(Dark) Prison
Reptile's Lair
Wu Shi Academy
Elder God's Arena
Moloch's Lair

Yes i agree with all arena ideas and I think if they do the prison stage they should do the Dark prison arena as well and then make them connected. I like the idea of having connected arenas.

I have mixed feelings about connected arenas, obviously they couldn't connect two completely different arenas, I don't think there's enough memory for all of that. Also, I didn't like it too much in MK3-MKT, sometimes I wanted to complete the fight in the Netherrealm but I'd uppercut someone or get uppercutted then I'm in Shao Khans Lair and that just pissed me off.
It was also done in MK:D but it fit because it was a 3D fighter..
I think the game would be better off without it, I just want some Levelution, some nice day and night transitions or a thunderstorm rolling in would be amazing.

MK 2 Kombat Tomb please?! I love uppercutting my foe up into them spikes! Then having them stay or slide off.

I really hope they port every Arena from MK9 really updated with toned down stage tradition ala knock threw Arenas.
ARENAS
Character Specific Killer Instinct is doing it (2 Characters per Arena Example Hell Scorpion & Blaze)
Knock threw Arenas AKA stage Transitions
Stage Weapon that drops in to start the 3rd Round
Classic Arena’s Portal, Kombat Tomb, Neathership (Interior and Deck), Slaughter House, Prison, Ying Yang, Sky Temple ect.
Add Stage Fatalities to the Bell Tower, Rooftop, Armory, Goro’s Lair, Shao Kahn’s Throne Room ect.
Intractable Objects toned down a bit from Injustice
Weather elements Rain, Snow, Wind
Day and Night options for every outdoor stage
Stage Transitions (Definitely toned down)
Cinematic Stage Fatalities similar to Stage Transitions in Injustice
Example of an upgrade for the Armory
Stage Fatality - knock your opponent into the Dragon making a gong sound then as the burn and scream on the hot coals the Dragon falls and crushes them.
Intractable’s – Grab your opponent and burn there face on the hot coals located on the far corners
Stage Transition - Knock your opponent onto a piece of metal one of the guys in the background is pounding on. Catapulting you up into Khans Throne Room

Out of all of the Mortal Kombat 4 arenas, the Prison HAS to make a return. I freaking love that arena because of the music, the look, and it's got by far the coolest stage fatality... Come on. There was also an additional track that has the announcer go, "Oh ho, baby," then the music for this stage would play. Who doesn't want to hear that?
Oh, and the game over pit needs to return as well. I know it's not an arena, but it's something to throw out there.

Definitly, that was awesome. They could do some pretty amazing stuff today, I hope NRS doesn't dissapoint..

Another arena left out of MK9 was The Portal stage. I would love to see a new take on it.

YUSS, Someone said it before I did. That stage would be great in 2D/whatever MK10 will do. It's a fun stage with a sense of humor and How can you deny that BGM: Link
It doesn't have to feature in Story mode hell I don't even want it to.
Anywho besides that:
The Kombat Tomb from 2.
Sky Temple from 6.
An Elder Gods arena stage like that one you caught a glimpse of in 9.
The Fire Well from 4.
Quan Chi's Fortress from 5.
And a Portal Stage. UMK3/MK2/MK5/New I don't care which but the fact there wasn't one was weird.
