for MK 7, maybe Boon and team will use the fighting system that they have for MK:SM, an arena type fighter, running off walls, no hassle with the switching fighting styles and it would make for mad team vrs. and four-player vurses, with death traps and multiple levels.

It would be so easy to do, and for weapons, just have them dropped randomly around the arena. juggles, throws, and combos would be a sinch to pull off, and no more trigger-happy, dialed in combos to mess around with.

And just judging the MK:SM demo fight with baraka, it already put MK:D fight to shame, compared to it, MK:D is sluggish and boring, but with this new style, it'll be fast, furious and soo much fun. Also, everything would be Online. ALL MODES INCLUDED OFFLINE

Online modes:

1 V. 1 match
team battle ( Earth warriors Vs. Outworld Champions)
Free for all
team battle Tourny (10 teams)
King of the Hill-Levels include:
the Pit- where you have to stay on the platform while knocking off players, who try one at a time to dislodge you, into a bed of spikes.
NEATHEREALM-try and stay on the platform as well and knock the other players into a swirling pool of lava.

multiplayer includes AI and co-op can be played with AI.

This all sounds great! I think there might be a few more options and details in all the modes, for example, you could set a timer on King of The Hill, which makes the lava slowly rise or the bridge over the pit start to crumble from the edges.

Hmm. All of that sounds great. But, I don't know if the fanbase will except it too much. I mean, I'm having a tough time looking forward to MKSM already.

Your ideas about having 4 people play at once is pretty cool, but there's something about it that seems wrong. Most people will say that MK is strictly 2 fighters on-screen. There's nothing wrong with 2vs2 or more, but wouldn't it be a little weird to have a 4 player FFA? I mean, if you did a Faality, would it just stop the match, or something else? 4 players also may be a little too confusing in some peoples' opinions.

As for deathtraps and such, nah. They are pretty useless IMO, and take away the fun from the gameplay.

But now that I think about it, your ideas wouldn't be bad at all. These modes that you typed up could be side stuff, sort of like Konquest in Deception. But the game would absolutely have to have 2 player on-screen action, no doubt.

u sir, are genius!!!!!!! then it would be possible to add all the mk chracters in history and new ones with ease!!!!!!! the only thing it needs, is a little twitching so it looks like an original beat em up game and there u have it! and make it look a bit mor erealistic, not the fly jumping into the air crap

Some of the multiplayer games that could be associated with the MK:SM mechanics could be pretty nice. As far as the actual fighting mechanics, the traditional style, I'm not sure if the SM system would be a good choice. Though, if they make it a bit more linear, to accommodate a 1vs1 set up, then I'd be all for it. SM would be fun as hell to play with command inputs; again, though, it would need to be tweaked to accommodate the traditional fighter set up.

I wouldn't want to see MK, the tourney side of the series, be watered down to a beatem' up, though. The whole "floaty" ideal with the jumping is meh. It serves a purpose in SM, so no worries. Increase the velocity of ascension and descension, ad some properties, it could work just fine for a pure fighter. It brings the whole air to air aspect back to MK, which is really, really nice to have.

I'd play the SM fighting mechanics any day over the crap we have now.
