do u think that mk will be the best mk game ever if they take enough time get a bigger budget bcuz i htink they might have got a cut budget which reflected the graphics in konquest mode not to mention the next generation disk capacities, not to mention the possibilities of dark raiden sareena, shinnok and rain
I don't know if it was the budget that caused the lower quality, I'm guessing it was just them trying to hurry up to get all the stuff done and make the game fit in the disk.

For MK7 if they do less it will be better, if they do more it won't be as good. The more they do, the less time they have to tweak things.

I just hope that too much time isn't spent on the extras for MK7.

I think it would be the best Mortal Kombat game if the team focused on the fighting aspects of the new game rather than wanting to add so much content to the game.

The story should have no blank areas in them and should be told not only in endings and extra modes like Konquest. One of the major reasons on why I play Mortal Kombat is because of the story, so if the team could tell a good story I will feel like I had my money's worth when I buy the game.

Another thing is the graphics, if this new Mortal Kombat could look real it would blow my mind. And if the violence was tweaked up more so that it could look more real then it would be a nice shock and a treat to me also. I remember in the days of the first Mortal Kombat when the fighters looked like actual people and watching them get a fatality done on them made my jaw drop. I would like to feel that again.

So gameplay, graphics, gore, story, and originality are the essential ingredients in making a great Mortal Kombat game. If all of these were focused on and made great then Deception will be just another stepping stone in the progress of each Mortal Kombat game getting better then the ones before them.
