IT HAS BEGUN! Outworld Invades Mortal Kombat X Online Mode!

It has begun! The first Invasion Boss has launched full scale war against online players in Mortal Kombat X!

Mileena leads a violent charge that challenges players to do as much damage as they can before inevitable defeat. Every blow counts as you strike in the name of your chosen clan!

Players can choose to join the Black Dragon, Brotherhood of Shadow, Lin Kuei, Special Forces or White Lotus Society. Representing a clan earns points toward special unlockable items and achievements, with every action in the game contributing to your clan's prosperity!

The Lin Kuei are dominating the event, so far. Choose your destiny and help one of the other clans rise to the challenge! For a small points penalty, you can change clans at any time. I've found Goro's punch walk to be the quickest way to get through her armor, while spamming Sub Zero's ice clones tends to be the best way to last longer. Made it the full 30 seconds, but got little for it.

I kept trying to use Kung Jin and take it to her in a fair fight but no. This is some Shao Kahn from MK2 arcade level shit. In the plus side, I made about 8,000 koins off of this matchup so far, so that's been nice.

Kinda hoped there'd be more of a point to it though besides helping your faction that's going to lose handily to the Lin Kuei... Ya know... Lose lol.

They really should have made the Shirai Ryu a faction to divide up the ninja fans.

Also, at this point there doesn't seem to be much reason for us to not ALL join the Lin Kuei so we can all get the rewards. There's really no reason other than pride not to all jump into a single faction.

lol I'm sure NRS will impliment something along the lines of x2 XP for everyone else if the same faction wins several weeks in a row to shake things up and then name it something ridiculous like "Defend/Take The Faction Crown!"

Either way, I'm sure they have a plan for this. I refuse to believe this wasn't considered. lol But yeah, I spent an hour pummeling on that bitch last night and got some good coinage out of her. It's fun. Can't wait to see what other tricks they have up their sleeves in the future for this stuff. So many surprises could be snuck in this way.

Have they said what the winner which is obviously Lin Kuei is going to get? I'm hoping they do something like in NBA 2k where the winning group got a new stage to play on. They also really need to fix the fxp that LK members get because it's just not fair lol.

On the main menu, go to faction then go to invasion boss.

I don't understand how nobody saw this coming...We all know DAMN WELL how much hardcore & casual fans alike LOVE ninjas. We all knew Lin Kuei would be the most popular faction hands down.

I have a feeling NRS knew this would happen and the public is just playing right into their hands. They will offer other factions Dbl XP or some other incentive to bolster numbers.

Also don't forget once people max out a faction they will move on to other unless they really enjoy that faction and their kills.

Yeah, Mileena faction boss is beyond BS. I did it a few times and never again. Once she got a flawless victory with a 24 HIT COMBO I just threw up my arms and proclaimed "DONE". Not gonna waste my time with that again...seriously? Double Speed, Triple Damage, Armor, Block Breaking, Invincibility, 20+ hit combos? Ridiculous.

And yeah, big shock - everyone went Lin Kuei. BECAUSE NINJERZ. ERMAGHERD, NERNJERZ.

So I leveled up my Black Dragon faction to 50 for an achievement, and jumped ship to Lin Kuei, since all the kiddies love their ninjas and that's the only faction that will ever be played by the majority of the fanbase. So, if I ever want bonuses for winning a faction war, I best jump on board with the faction that over 50% of the player base joined. Nothing personal against the Lin Kuei, Subbie is one of my all-time favorites...just bullshit that, once again, the only thing that appeals to this turdbase is ninjas, so the other factions remain in the dust. Even the second place faction, White Lotus, wasn't even in the same ballpark.
