I'm ok with Baraka sitting one out, but i'd much rather him than Barakamorph/Tarkatalien whatever. Tanya & Rain aren't loyal to Mileena, FYI. Rain himself said he knew the amulet was hurting Mileena. They probably would have betrayed Mileena given the opportunity.


He also had a Shokan dagger that he stole. It was never used in battle but does appear in his belt. There's potential for a variation there.


That's a big problem. Planning ahead, even a barebones framework of a story is how you get a fully thought-out, deep story that can be complex without being ridiculous. It becomes apparent when doing this, that when you want to evolve your story in a certain way to ensure some outcome, you can then lay the groundwork and put in those details closer to the beginning of the story. What i mean is, you don't end up with a drastic need to pull ideas out your ass. It happened with Lost and it's happening in MK. (God, how bad was the ending to Lost?)

Rain will maybe only be in if they make Edenia for once an important stage / setting, but I doubt he will be on a main roster ever. He's only been in special editions of games: Ultimate MK3, Trilogy, Armageddon (collection of all) & Komplete MK9 (DLC). He's never been in the main roster of a regular game.

The whole shpiel that Rain does not have enough moves are they could not come up with 3 variations is just silly. If you can have 3 for Leatherface & Jason, you can have them for anyone! Truth is: he should've been in, period. No excuse. Same for Baraka & Tanya. Having NPCs was just a stupid idea and a big tease. Hope it never returns.

They could've replaced plenty of characters on this rotster. Rain started off as a joke character with the reference and everything so at times I do believe that even the guys at NRS treat him like it and maybe do not really like him.

Looks to me like Rain has been relegated to the back of the new Pit stage. If you check out the stream from yesterday you can see him fighting with Blaze.

LOL @ people making that out to be Rain. It's the same as always, a figure who kind of looks like Liu Kang mk2 style but not really. What was it, some crazy idiots came up with a name for him: unicHORN with a beltBUCKLE?

Huh? It is Rain. If you zoom in, he not only has the little loincloth thing in the same shape as Rain from Story Mode, but he also has the water spray move as well as the water teleport. You can even see the fire around Blaze go dim a little bit when he gets hit with the blast of the water.

If you watch the video again, you can see the character blasting water at Blaze. Could easily be Rain! Obviously it's not a definite though.

NRS should give us Cyber-Rain.

In a game with everyone. It seems to me a third variation appropriate for Triborg. Sektor and Cyrax as would be independent and each with three variations. Soon the Triborg would take the projects dropped for Cyber Sub Zero (and we would not have a Sub Zero non-mechanical) and Cyber Smoke (and we would have a Smoke Enenra / Human as the Scorpion Spectro / Human) thus need an intermediary between Smoke and Ice therefore water.

You should get your tubes tied, rid yourself of internet and all human contact, and consider life in the mountains. Plenty of trolls up there who share your opinion.

Makes literally zero sense. Rain is not Lin Kuei.
