Well...

Kano's fatality and the 2 new gameplay matches were neat.

The interview itself, and the decision to play the Raiden trailer instead of more fresh gameplay, was a bit disappointing.

I'm guessing that PAX was kind of last minute, and they kind of just threw the demo from Gamescom and some trailers at the producer.

Mind you, this producer, the same guy, was the one that originally leaked a new MK was in the makings. I was expecting him to slip again, but nope.

I'm glad I didn't have my hopes up for this. However, I sincerely wish they'd have shown a few more minutes of gameplay footage rather than the Raiden teaser from July, at ComicCon.
P.S. That host was just awful.

The first Trailer Shows some nice Combos with Sub Zero where he throws scorpion into his ice clone... really nice. and i love the graphic. damn i Need a beamer for mkx :D

Do we really need to have a constant flow of character reveals this early?

Surely the folks at NRS could create variation trailers (like the Raiden and Kano ones) for the other characters we know about to keep hype up a little?

No, because i expect one character reveal per month. but they could Show more gameplay, more intros. maybe some more Infos for the next reveal to Keep us curios :)

Good thing I do not have work tomorrow because that was seriously not worth staying up for.

Only good thing was showing the first part of Kano's fatality but still NRS do not want to officially show Scorpion's fatality to the public.

Only tidbit I got was that a lot of very suprising returnees will be coming back and that is stretching it. One thing I hate about watching live show presentations is how cringeworthy the dialogue gets sometimes I sometimes have to mute.

NRS must have something new to show soon...right?

It would have been nice if there was something more but there was never anything implying that would be the case. WB marketing calls the shots when it comes to this rather than NRS so let's go easy on them with what we feel we're owed.

I still think they fucked up and played the wrong trailer.

I'm awaiting for a Youtube video of this, because I think I saw something.
Ed Boon said that their won't be mid-fight variation switches.
Besides the OBVIOUS video transitions, it did looked like some flawless variation switching happen a few times.
I got to see the presentation again.
First Gamescom, then this. Back-to-back disappointments.

Whatever. I'll just wait for the Gamestop expo.

I agree, a character reveal wasn't needed.

However, this is PAX, a pretty notable convention. They could have at least played a match with each of the current characters.

With that said, I'm content. It was just a bit funny that they used their stage time to show Kano's full fatality(3 new seconds). Everything else was pretty run-of-the-mill material, and standard questions we heard asked at the previous 2-3 conventions.

I'm quite certain the videos were pre-made, and you could notice on the lifebars each time they switched videos to a new variation. It definitely didn't seem like in-game switching.

I really hope the next interviewer at whatever convention talks to them doesn't ask the same goddamn question, "Where does this game take place?"
