I'm gonna guess we may get a female Shaolin Monk.

Ashrah? Id like to see that redemption story again...
I am leaning towards a new character(s), Number 4 definately does not look like anything the females in the series have worn. Very ninja like in the traditional sense.
Number 1 has a skull in the knee pad. Number 1 and Number 6 are from the same character I think. Looks to me an evil character.

Here are my guesses:
Number 1-Reiko
Number 2-Johnny Cage (Seido)
Number 3-Sonya (Older)
Number 4-Sheeva (Sheeva's Child?)
Number 5-Bo' Rai Cho
Number 6-Shinnok (Looks like the amulet staff he holds)

Something in the Snowy Forest bothers me quite a bit; in the Scorpion VS SZ gameplay video we see SZ hitting Scorpion in the face with the tree branch 02:00. Now, why the fuck do we see his mask extend along with his facial expression? I've noticed this before with SZ getting hit as well. This animation has to be adjusted for characters wearing a mask

Sub and Scorp fight, they intentionally fudge the fatality input as to not to show it.
Kano vs. Raiden, featuring Kano's full fatality.
Rehash of Raiden trailer.

Thanks buddy. I managed to find a youtube link in the thread and it was cool t see Raiden work his shennanies mid-match this time to get a feel for the trap setups. He looks so awesome!
I haven't got to see much of Sub-Zero Unbreakable so it's nice to see some more of that variation as well as Scorpion's Inferno. I didn't know Scorpion can summon hellspawn from multiple angles including a "tracking opponent" grab one that opens up for a free hit / reset.
The "boot tweet" reveal deserves some closer analysis so I'm going to grab a glass of wine and check that shit out a little in depth.

Did that annoy anyone else? Also, I didn't expect anything from this, but hey, at least we got to see Kano's first half of his fatality... But damn, I missed Heroes of the Storm.

Funny thing is, the pronunciation was the correct way tor efer to the thunder god. MK announces it as an English name, which is incorrect.
Same thing with kano, they pronunce it like the African airport instead the Japanese name it is. Not that importnat, but if you borrow from cultures and languages you can at elast pay respect to it.

Tell you what Chrome. Pop a quarter into a MK 1 arcade machine (if you can find one) and pick the lightning guy with the funny hat and tell me how the announcer says his name. That's the correct way to say it.
I know you're not native English speaking but there are PLENTY of words that are pronounced differently when spoken by someone from a different country of origin. I usually don't respond to your posts but I feel obligated to clarify that when you refer to the Lighting Elder God Protector of Earthrealm in the Mortal Kombat series his name is either Christopher Lambert or motherfucking RAY-DEN.

It's not that he doesn't know the pronunciation of the character's name in the games, movies, etc. It's just that Raiden's character is (very loosely) based off of Raijin, the Japanese god of thunder, who also goes by names like "Raiden" (thunder and lightning). It wouldn't have been bad to pronounce Raiden's and Kano's names as they're actually meant to be pronounced, especially since John Tobias had a love for drawing influence from East Asian mythology and such. But yeah, this is MK.
I have taken a closer look to the boots that Ed has posted on his twitter account. I have been making comparison with the shoes and boots of former games ( if these are from returing caracters).
Number one is for the most left and number six for the most right.
1: Quan Chi it looks a bit like his skull move sets
2: Yes I am also leaning towards Johny Cage.
3: Lui Kang, it looks almost identical to the shoes of his alternate costume of MK9
4: Sareena it looks a bit similar to her legs and shoes of Armageddon and Mk9 ;(background in Pit II ). And because she is a demon from the Netherrealm it would she could fit in the Storyline.
5: Noob Saibot or Smoke both of them had similor boots in previous games.
6: a no brainer Shinnok indentical to the boots of previous games.
I have used http://mortalkombat.wikia.com/wiki/Shinnok as a source.

Man we all know . I'm Italian-American and my last name can be pronounced in two very different ways depending on who I'm talking to (it has a hard "CH" sound in English, and a hard "K" if you're using Italian). I'm American, and native English speaking and didn't grow up knowing the Italian language or with a lot of Italian culture. So, my family Identified with and used the ENGLISH pronunciation because that's my culture of origin. Guess which pronunciation I give when people ask "how do you pronounce your last name?"
I get that Raiden is based on Raijen but...he was created for a western fighting game series by western fighting game dudes and he's his OWN distinct character outside of the Japanese/Chinese religion.
Pssst guess what guys, you don't spell KOMBAT with "K" either.

So no one noticed that they have changed Scorpion and Sub-Zero intro from previous:
"Scorpion: Murderer!
Subzero: I tire of maintaining my innocence.
Scorpion: I will relieve you of your burden!"
to:
"Scorpion: Sub-Zero.
Sub-Zero: Prepare to rejoin yor clan.
Scorpion: I'll send you to hell!"
?
This change might support theory that this is brand new Sub-Zero... or some fighters have multiple intros ;]

It's been known for some time that each of the fighters have (at least) 2 dialogues per opponent (which also depend on who is P1 or P2,) as well as intro quotes in mirror matches.
Hence, we've seen:
Sub-Zero vs. Scorpion 1:
Sub-Zero - For the Lin Kuei.
Scorpion - For the Shirai Ryu!
Sub-Zero - To the death.
Sub-Zero vs Scorpion 2:
Sub-Zero - Shirai Ryu dog.
Scorpion - Lin Kuei scum!
Sub-Zero - Death is more honor than you deserve.
With this, we've now seen both Scorpion vs. Sub-Zero intros (unless there are more.)
