I really love the idea. Not in MK7, to soon. I say have the Dragon King as boss for MK7 and he ends up being taken out in that one. Then for MK8 (if they have it), Raiden has realized he doesn't have to be some protector and put his life on the line all the time...he can simply rule everything. This could be a good way to elevate Fujin into a main character as the new Earthrealm protector. I've liked this idea since I saw someone's sig, forget who, which had Raiden and Fujin facing off which the subtitle "Battle for Earthrealm" or something like that.

Shao Kahn should be the boss. And either Kintaro, or Goro (Perhaps Both) can be sub-bosses. Not like Noob-Smoke though. Two seperate characters. And you can play as them too. That would be sweet.

Or not. We could keep original and not revisit old worn out ideas.

Yeah, MKD broke new ground with not using old ideas like Sub Zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang, Raiden, Baraka, Mileena, etc. and stages like Living forest, dead pool, court yard etc. Yup, no old ideas in MKd

I like the idea!!! as loing as hes not like Quan Chi and shang tsung... not like a regular hard character... but like Shao Khan... who is a bitch to beat and has super advantage over you...

I think khan should be playable normal character!!! his reign is over... the DK took over his owers... he is now a normal kombatant ready to KICK ASS!!!!! And he would like to be the one to kill rayden...

At first I didn't like the idea of Raiden as the 'evil' boss at first, but after a few minutes I could see how that could work. What if Raiden is slowly going insane because of his first battle with the Dragon King and having to release his 'godly essence' (sp?)

Or who says that is really Raiden afterall, but it could be Shinnok in disquise trying to discredit the, what he believes to be dead, thundergod (I know pushing it, but it could happen) Hey the exit to the Neatherrealm was left wide open thanks to that idiot Shujinko and who knows what happened to Shinnoks medallion after MK:D. All I've seen so far is that the DK has it, but then I haven't gotten all the endings yet.

As a Raiden fan, I particularly hate the idea. It seems to me that not many seem to understand Raidens character at all in MKD and why he acted the way he did. He is still good. his acts are out of anger and frustration at the mortals. Read the final words of his bio carefully. Those are from a man who wants those he tried to save so many times to prove to him that they are worthy of his time. If not, then he will destroy them as he said. Not an act of evil, but as an act for the rest of the MKverses protection . With Earth gone, I doubt so many realms would be under attack. And MK would finally end.

But if he wre somehow evil, then he should somehow be helping both sides. Good and evil. Or maybe putting the Earth warriors at a disadvantage of some sort. He'll probably put them all through trials now to prove their worth to him. If they fail, he'll pick them off one by one and then bring in the new chosen ones.

I think Raiden will relize that he himself would have to defend Earthrealm by killing every possible threat in the other realms. Raiden would leave Earthrealm and go on a killing spree. Raiden will go alone and if anyone gets in his way he will kill them too. I believe Fujin will see that Raiden has gone insane and he will gather the mortals to stop Raiden and speak some reason to him.

Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Jax, Kenshi, Bo' Rai Cho, Kai,Kitana, and even Scorpion would band together to save their friend Raiden from his corrupted thoughts. Scorpion would be on a secret mission from the Elder Gods to kill Raiden. Fujin will lead all of them on a quest to travel through all the realms and follow Raiden's path of destruction.

or the main character of MK7 could be a bad guy!?!

Imagine Raiden being brainwashed by Shinnok into killing all of the elder gods, then Kai, with the lightning staff, leading the Earth into battle against Raiden. Sweet.

To be honest, I'm leaning towards Raiden being the sub-boss for MK7, and the theory that when he blasted himself into temporary oblivion to try and stop Onaga, he ended up getting corrupted with the same influence the One Being had over the Dragon King. Seeing as how he's already started down the path to cuckoo land by going postal on Shujinko, he might inadvertently BE evil, the One Being using him as a further distraction and barrier for the good guys. After all, can't focus on the Kamidogu and the One Being's plan when you have an obsessive, homicidal thunder god on your hands, now can you?

Well, Raiden was originally planned as an evil character, so the fact that he's acting the way he is shouldn't surprise people. Raiden doesn't have to be evil to be the boss. He just needs to be a threat. I agree that if Raiden destroy's Earthrealm then Mortal Kombat would stop, one of the reasons being that Earth inter-connects the other realms. Suppose Raiden taps into a new power that makes him much more powerful, perhaps by using the Kamidogu. He would become a threat to other realms, as well as the Elder Gods. From this we could see some very strange and unexcpected alliances.

I like the idea of Raiden being the boss for one game, right before the stage is set for the One Being to re-appear.

That would be cool to have him as a boos for 7 he's already evil how are they going to make him good again without killing him! I don't think Raiden got strickter he just wants to protect Earthrealm from idiots like Shjinko.
