You and me both Brother. I am utilizing that variation first and foremost. His combos that gave him the ice sword in mk9 were among my favorites so I was over joyed to see a variation devoted to ice weapons.. Now if only they fix his ice throw to be two handed I would be especially happy. It looks like crap with only one hand.

I love that subby looks like he is more agile in this game. He was kinda slow in MK9.

People are getting way too hung up on who this sub zero is, as if it actually matters. It would be beyond stupid for Bi han or Kuai to become a human cryomancer again. It SHOULD be a new sub zero, and boon himself said as much. Stop beating the dead horse everyone.

Noob should remain noob. he is an awesome character; AND he makes the least sense of returning to human form and re-becoming sub zero. Absolute lunacy.

Kuai still doesn't make sense because you can not reverse the cyberization process. But the ONLY good theory i have heard on the subject was just mentioned in this thread (didn't quote) that subbys new mask could be glowing blue because this subby is part robot. But still, it makes NO SENSE. Kuai is DEADDDDDD. Read it and weep.

But its not all doom and gloom. i highly doubt Kuai will be forgotten.. He will return.. (and you heard it here first) Kuai Liang will be part of the roster as a new character. Mark my words.

I've been throwing this out there every now and then, so I'll continue throwing it out there.

I wish people would stop wanting this Sub-Zero to be Bi Han for the sake of keeping Noob Saibot around.

1.) You make Bi Han become purified, you lose Noob Saibot completely, and I'm not going to sit here and accept that Noob became a completely new entity or that some other soul occupied the body, even if the writers made it that way. You get a new soul in Noob, you have a totally new Noob Saibot. It's like the whole Jade and the mysterious woman, Ermac and the whole Jerrod ending. You have a new soul occupying a body of a recurring character, they're not technically considered that character. Ermac would be considered as Jerrod, not as an it anymore because his soul took over. Yeah, it's Ermac's body, but it's not his soul. So no, no new soul to take over Noob for the sake of keeping him around to make way for Sub-Zero to become Bi Han.

2.) Why would Bi Han suddenly restart the rivalry between him and Scorpion when he's perfectly able to have gone after him as Noob? It's not like Bi Han would forget everything that happened to him if he were to go back as human, he clearly remember his brother when he was Noob. It's like the moment he became Noob, he clearly could care less that Scorpion is wondering out there. He could have had any chance to go back after him and kill him in his new body. But he never did. Instead, he chose to work with Quan Chi and that was it. It wouldn't make sense to restart a rivalry all because he's back as a human again. It's like, "Oh, I didn't feel like fighting you as Noob, despite that I have a heck of a lot more abilities and other ways to kill you, I feel like going after you with my ice abilities." That makes no sense. Noob could have easily gone after Scorpion all this time, but he never did.

3.) The whole "we need to know more of him because he's only been in two games while his brother has been in more," crap. There is nothing else we need to learn from this character. Mythologies left us with a great impression who Bi Han is. He's cold (no pun intended), mean, and a dick. Does he really need more stardom to show just to let us know what else he's like? No, sorry, Bi Han has a personality that doesn't need more defining to.

That's really all I have to say about this.

I think the Cyborg thing could possibly be reversed. Remember that right at the beginning of MK9, Jax is severely injured from being captured and tortured (while everyone else is doing their MK1 thang). After Sonya frees him, Raiden heals all of Jax's wounds with his magic god powers. I know its a stretch, but i think that after all the cybernetics are removed, maybe Raiden can just "Zap" you back to true form. Also, the Lin Kuei Dragon Medallion might have healing properties as well. Just a thought.

I'd personally prefer this to be a new SubZero, but the banter between him and Scorpion makes me think its Kuai Liang.

As for his design, I dont mind the L.E.D. Lighted mask. But i just wish they'd get rid of all those damn daggers. Give those "arms" to a character that is being developed next, then give SubZero his "arms" from MKvsDC!

If Sub had a cryo-meter and his ice powers were somewhat restricted (like in MKM), I could roll with that, but within the game's own limits, freezing kunai doesn't seem like an efficient option. Sub can create a 3.5 foot sword in less than a second. The idea is kinda cool, but I don't see it competing with his other options.

I guess I'd be willing throw my hands up and have fun with the kunai... if NRS would let me use the kunai. Something tells I won't be allowed to. Even if they're only used for stealth missions, why would you use your finite number of kunai when you could use ice kunai that not only are in limitless supply, but would also melt and disguise the murder weapon?

When I first saw Sub-Zero for MKX I disliked his costume because of the vest but now I guess it's grown on me. And seeing is cryomancer variation up close I think he looks awesome.

All Raiden did to Jax was remove bruises. If he could heal worse injuries, why didn't he save Kitana after the Sindel attack?

The Cyber Initiative automation process isn't just putting an Iron Man suit on you. They have silver bones in their X-Rays and glowing wires inside every limb and some of their organs have been scooped out of their chests and replaced with missile launchers.

Granted, it was a LOT bigger of a change to the body in the original timeline when their skeletons looked like this:

than it is in MK9, but still...I'm fairly certain it's not something you can just "remove" and still have an alive person when you're done. Cyber-Sub's battle damage showed that if you remove parts of his helmet, there's no skull underneath, his brain is straight-up exposed to the open air.
All of that said...because Kuai is dead, that means it's VERY easy to bring him back as a human instead of a cyborg. He can just be resurrected with a brand new body.

I'm going to place my bets on Kuai Liang. It's still possible for a new Sub-Zero, but what OTHER cyromancers who were immersed in the Lin Kuei besides Bi-Han and Kuai do we know? Also how did this new guy survive the Cyber Initiative. To me, a resurrected Kuai Liang makes sense.

If it is Kuai Liang, he needs help to come back which is where Sareena comes in. This is a big opportunity for her to be confirmed in MKX as she will help progress Sub-Zero's story not to mention acknowledge that she met Bi Han before he became Noob Saibot.

Bi-Han returns as Noob and this is a new Sub-Zero. It can go in many directions.

The theory of whom this Sub-Zero is, is a mystery. We have to wait to find out for ourselves. I have a hunch that the secret will be leaked sometime in the coming months.

More people need to understand this. Ed would never mention such info if there was a high possibility of either "Sub-Zero's" coming back.
Seriously people, they're gone. One is Noob Saibot now, while the other is a Cyborg. The best people can hope for is a body merge story.
Either pray for this now, or get comfortable very fast that this is a new Sub-Zero because this Sub-Zero isn't completely either or.

Can't wait for Cryomancer Sub-Zero... at first when MK9 came out. I wasn't to fond of the ice sword. But it grew on me... So this is the favorite of the variations

I still think its a new Sub Zero. We get same 'ol Subbie yet a new generation to go with the X theme.
