I do miss the spectral, quasi-ghostly property Tsung had in MK1 a little, but overall it's not a huge loss. I'd be surprised if he came back as Old Man Shang again, robes and all.

That would be bad ass, but, we all know NRS is firmly against making Shang seem menacing or imposing what so ever and prefer him to be nothing more than an imitation of gen one star scream.

See, at least Shang got to snap Liu's neck and live large and happy for a few days. Poor SS didn't even get through his coronation before Galvatron lowered the boom. :D

Absolutely. To the point his legs are worthless and he has no choice. Dusty old fart Shang that's running on fumes.

I have a hard time picturing it. Shang has been in so many MKs since the first, so I'm quite used to the fact he stands on his legs. I'm not saying it would be bad, but I just can't picture it in a positive way.

i was actually just playin mk 2011 today an was wondering the same thing if that would be cool ... im on both sides of the fence here, but I love the old man look, so bad ass. I really cant take him in his 'young version'.

Oh, I do agree with that. Old Shang is the only one I played in MK9, and I hate his MK2/3 versions. I do like his MKDA incarnation, though.

If he came back as his old self again, I'd like him to look horribly decrepit and wrinkled, just like the guy he was inspired by, Lo-Pan. That could be part of a variant, where he's so old that he has to float in order to move around, and is completely dependent on his magical abilities to fight. Exactly like he was in MK1, in short.

Fujin should fly. Shang should float in his old man form. Imo his dash could be a float.


Fujin should have legitimate aerial stuff as a variation.

Shang float should Tsung. y'know?
