Nightwolf is a no with a 12-10 vote, next up is Nitara



Honestly, I don't know what I think of this character. I liked the fact that they brought in someone new for Deadly Alliance, however, I felt that she was a huge disappointment. But of course, everyone is bound to have a second chance, I just don't think right now is the time for her. I don't see a place for her in X, so I'm going to have to say "No."

This is the perfect game to bring her back. The fact that they making these new characters more diverse regarding designs and stories. She would fit in with the rest of the characters.

Plus, we need to explore her realm more, it didn't get know a lot about it. So yes, she should return and this game would be the perfect game to do so.

YES! - If they remake her storyy entirely, as Shao Kahn is probably dead now so no need to victimize her folk.

NO! - If they still have the story about how she's a poor little vampire girl who needs to free her poor people.

I wouldn't mind if they created a whole new vampire character tho, Nitara seems kinda standard.

But her wings, those lovely wings! WIth all these strange monsters in MK X (bee women, Aztec warrior gods, and giant slaves with midget leaders) it would be cool to see Shokans, Vampires (Succubi) and other monsters running around.

Nitara is one of the few female characters that I actually enjoy. It just sucks that she was pushed to the side.

No only because I feel like there will be a limited spot for veteran females and there are more deserving characters.

Nitara has always been kinda soso in my book. While I'm all for species diversification, she looks just like a normal girl with wings. I hope they one day revisit the vampire race and reimagine what a vampire is in the mk universe.

I like her costumes and boots, but that's not enough for her to deserve to be in mkx.

Nitara fits right in with the vibe they're going for in MKX. She had such a closed plot that there was not a whole lot they could go with it, up until they had hints in the half-assed bios for MKA of a rivalry between her and Ashrah. Nitara could be a neutral character, with stakes on both sides of the conflict, playing everyone to get what she needs. Hell, tie her in with Reptile and Cyrax again, maybe Khameleon if she gets in (which...well, you know how likely that is). Maybe even tie her in with Skarlet?

Gameplay-wise, I can see her getting back the blood spit, but a lot more could be done with her wings. Dive kicks? Swooping down and picking up the opponent? Aerial combos? Who knows! Her possibilities are limitless, and I'd definitely main her if she comes back.

Sheeva's likely not getting in.
Sonya's likely not getting in.


That leaves MIileena and Tanya, both whom are very likely getting in. I say let Nitara return. It's a yes for me.

No Nitara, unless it's a complete redesign. She's the worst vampire pirate ever.

There are female characters that I like more than Nitara: I'm a loyal fan of Kitana. MK Deception and MK9 made me appreciate Jade. Probably I'm a minority here, but I did enjoy playing as Li Mei. So, as long as Kitana, Jade, and Li Mei are in the next game, I don't care. They can fill the remaining spots on the roster with any female they want - Nitara, Frost, Tanya, Sareena, even Sindel and Sheeva... I'll definitely play as them, but not as frequently as my top 5 chicks (including D'Vorah).

I really enjoyed Nitara's story in MKDA and she could evolve into an awesome addition to MKX.

We already have a monster female in Dvorah.. We already have some one who drinks blood in Kotal Kahn... While I don't have an opinion as far as like/hate her, I just don't think she is needed in THIS game... maybe a future game however.

Just because she was boring in one game (literally, one game), doesn't mean she'll be boring in every game she appears in afterwards.

As I've stated about Sheeva, you can't complain about a character being bad if you refuse their opportunity to be good. That's like complaining about the smell of dirty clothes, but you refuse to wash them.

Because... A reptile humanoid(Reptile), a four-armed person(Sheeva, Goro, Kintaro), humans fused with machines(Sektor, Cyrax, Smoke, Jax), a clone(Mileena), a human torch(Blaze), are definitely unique...

Just because you dislike vampires, doesn't mean Nitara doesn't have potential.

I agree with your reasoning! Every character, with the exception of Mokap, has potential to be interesting/cool.. So hating a character or thinking they are boring because of a single game they are in seems kind of extreme...

That being said, if Netherrealm feels inspired by a different character instead of Nitara, they should pursue that other character because you will get something much more interesting and developed out of it. If none of them like her, or feel inspired by her, its probably good that they don't include her because if they did, it would be another boring uninspired version of her..

I'm going to vote "yes" for Nitara. I see untapped potential in her character.

This I can understand; there can indeed be a lack of inspiration for certain characters.

It's why I sometimes wish I was sitting in those brainstorming meetings, so I can slap some inspiration into them. lol



I once created a backstory for Mokap, along the original faux story of him being a motion capture artist for Johnny Cage, but adding in pieces towards who he is and why I he can generate white light.

I've always felt Mokap, even though a joke character, possessed potential. It's Hsu Hao I've always been stuck on.
