Just got to wait it out bud. I'm wanting to see shinnok so bad, but time will solve everything. If he's not a main roster pick I'd assume DLC. Reptile was apart of MK4's storyline so I'd just hold tight. Pretty sure we'll see him!

With all the relatives talk I am a bit scared Reptile will be replaced by another zaterran, and I would hate that, seeing how he did not die and probably ages really slow, so there would be no need to replace him.

I hate the idea of replacing a long-standing character with another one of said character's race (i.e. Reptile). The 1996 cartoon tried that and failed miserably.

It just wouldn't be the same without him...

Whether or not Reptile is in the game remains to be seen. No offense the you or other Reptile fans alike, I would rather see him make a cameo in the story rather than be a playable character. He falls into the same category as Kitana. He's always in almost every game and that's overkill for me. I rather see a new fighter or another fan fave take his place this time around. Sorry.

I don't know where people are getting this idea that Reptile is going to be replaced by a cousin or relative. That's just a false rumor created by fans.

Netherrealm knows that Reptile has a huge fan base, they would not disappoint. Ed has retweeted Reptile fan art more than any other character. He even teased one time saying, "who the hell wants Reptile?" As a joke obviously. The same with Ermac.

Also, in one of the interviews someone asks if there will be more ninjas other than Scorpion and Subzero, he responded with a yes.

Well, Ed has said several times a lof of the new characters will be relatives to the old ones, and reptile was almost replaced once back when MKDA was in development. I hope he is not, I think it would be stupid, but it still scares me knowing the possibility is there.

Reptile changes so much between titles I don't understand how someone could care if he was replaced by another Saurian.

I care because he is meant to be the last of his species. Reptile fans do not want him to be robbed of his uniqueness. Sure NRS could bring back Chameleon or Khameleon to pop out kids but that would be anticlimactic at best.
