Honestly the only characters i care for in this pack would be Fujin.
While I like Sindel I think she can pass this time around.
Baraka was killed off in story. He would have to imply that the baraka in story was just a "decoy"? Yawn, been there Done that.
Rain, I already dropped cash on him in the last game, I really don't want to have to again. Also, didn't they say they weren't going to charge us for the same character twice as dlc.

Now sure, I don't have to buy them no ones forcing me to, but I think from a developers viewpoint, theres too much story involved with these characters to fit into whats already happened in this game to just be like oh yeah here you go.

Wait for the next game, I'm sure thats where we will see what happens to Sindel joining Liu and Kitana in hell as the supreme Mother.

Xenomorph, depending how he plays with the arm blades and all, might make Baraka redundant in MKX. Rain probably not because of Boon's insistence of there being no repeat DLC.

If we get anything else post KP2, like an extra two characters or something similar to Injustice, then maybe Fujin and Sindel have a shot in hell.....but I doubt it.

I'm not even upset about the content of KP2, but we got two more guest characters, a made up character consisting of three existing characters and fuckin' Bo' Rai Cho.

DLC costs money and resources to make and I doubt NRS thinks they could could recoup them with releasing that pack.

I think the decision to make KP2 was not part of the schudule and I doubt they would want to add more to their workload while they could be working on their next project. I think KP2 will be the last DLC barring minor updates.

That whole Rain argument was silly. You also paid for the last MK game so why did you get the new one? MKX is different to MK9 just as MK's Rain would be different to MK9's Rain.

I'm not even gonna venture to guess if there does end up to be dlc beyond KP2. I thought there was no way we were gonna get two more guests, plus Bo Rai Cho and Tri Borg were from WAAAYYYYY outta left field. I must admit, I am shocked that we're still seeing "I wonder if they will release Story Pack next" threads.

Time to face facts everyone - KP2 is it. It was dependent upon the sales of the game, and when MKX became one of the best selling MK games of all time (THE best, I think?), then it was only logical to start working on KP2. I think they made it pretty clear early on that they have no intention of releasing a story pack.

I know it's hard to wrap your head around, but NPCs are NPCs. So what if they were story relevant or in the previous game? That doesn't mean they will be playable in the next, even if they do appear in it. This is Mortal Kombat. How many times have we seen beloved characters not show up in the next game?

MK2 - No Kano, no Sonya, but they still appear in the game.
MK3 - no Scorpion
MK4 - none of the MK3 cast
etc etc

They'll be in the next game.
