Sub-Zero and Scorpion are 2 of the longest standing characters
in the game. Is it time to let them go and bring forward new
Ninjas and someone from sub-zero's clan...
or should they stay for another year or 2

Sub-Zero and Scorpion are the so-called "staple" characters if I'm using the term correctly...
They are my favorites and MK wouldn't be the same without them.
Sub-Zero is far from over and he has enormous potential and Scorpion does have some potential as well but I would like to see more from him.
Perhaps the two should team up to take down Noob Saibot.

I would not recognize a Mortal Kombat game without these characters in it. Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Raiden have grown to be 3 of the top favorite characters in Mortal Kombat history and I hope never to see a game without them, well Raiden could be an exeption because having him not around would make Earthrealm seem very vulnerable to take over and it would tighten the plot quite abit.
I would hate that idea alot, I have been playing Mortal Kombat since the very first game and as the years went on I grew to love both Sub-Zero and Scorpion both as thinking they were awsome characters and fighting as them and mastering their move sets and such.
It usually ruins a series if the two top characters are taken out and replaced by some unusual new characters that are initially filling in their spot. Look at the Power Rangers show, kids loved that show and the original cast but as soon as they lost the entire original cast, nobody watches that show anymore yet they keep making more and more and always try to do things different.
That is how I would feel if Mortal Kombat got rid of it's old characters, and Mortal Kombat would not feel the same. Deception made me feel like I was playing Mortal Kombat because of the returning characters and that is just about it.

if they left out Scorpion and Sub-Zero id still play. all true MK fans would still play MK if there was no Scorpion and Sub-Zero in the game. although none of us have to worry about that cuz Ed Boon said himself months ago that Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Raiden will always be in the roster of all future MK games. although i think it would be funny if for MK7 they said those 3 arent in the game and then we get it and we find them to be secret characters. that would be funny.

Ed Boon said anytime a new Mk game comes out Scorpion and Sub-Zero will be in it.
Well, I'd still play MK if they cut them out and make another ice character(like Frost. I know ]{OMBAT would love that!) and a ninja spectre character. I just might not enjoy MK as much. Scorpion and Sub-Zero have always been favorites of mine and they were the easiest to play in most if not all of the MK games(and Liu Kang, as well). I'm glad they will still be in the future rosters. It just wouldn't be the same.
