I feel funny posting this so soon after making a similar topic, asking when we would see the first screens but anyways...

My friend's friend is a beta tester for Midway games in Chicago and was testing a very ealy beta of MK8 a few days ago. Well he managed to sneak out a screen capture of him playing using this new guy called "Snake". He looks very similar in style to the Gears Of War human soldiers. Perhaps it's because MK8 is running on the Unreal Engine 3 and was allowed to implement him. But things are always bound to change as development continues. Check it out!

That is seriously not an MK8 picture.

For a start, the background is exactly the Slaughterhouse from Deception, and why on earth would Kobra be a next-gen character if no one even likes him? And if he were a next-gen character I'm sure they'd give him a new costume.

And that guy with the gun looks boring as hell. First Kobra, now Snake? What the hell?

You should really re-name your thread subject cuz this is cleary not an MK8 screenshot.

Lol, You was getting my hopes up then. Anyway pretty cool fake, but the background is old (Slaughterhouse) and Marcus Fenix (Snake) looks Awkward. Lol.

It's just an early beta. I'm sure they're recycling alot of stuff just to test their new engiine.

Ok this what I think about the fake issue this pic seems to have:

Raiden was a hidden character in Unreal Championship 2.
So it could just be that the GoW Marcus model is provided as an example in the UE3 tools.

There are no examples in the Unreal Engine, Epic Games and Microsoft made Gears of war and all the characters, they didn't get/leave any examples in the Unreal Engine. Close this thread now, before everyone starts flaming each other.

This is obviously a fake. That is Marcus Fenix the main character of Gears of War. You're notorious for making fakes just like these on the Fan Art forum.

To avoid confusion and flaming, I'm closing this.
