Because even though smoke never was converted, he did take the tests which explain his moveset. These tests could have easily included a neural scan to imitate the agents personality. So both revenent-smoke and cyber-smoke believe themselves to be the original in a new body but in reality both are seemingly just copies.

I'm just glad all those lame theories about Bi Han being behind him or that he's "Cyber Chameleon" can be dispelled.

You know, the "Cyber Chameleon" thing wasn't actually a serious theory. Just an idea based on an old throwaway arcade ending that seemed to work out rather well. There was no way they would have gone through with that.

You're overthinking it. The powers are technology based. Kuai Liang can physically form ice. Cyber Sub-Zero probably shoots liquid nitrogen or something.

If something like portals or teleports can be done magically by other characters, then it can be done technologically. And the Lin Kuei were seriously beasts technology wise.

Triborg story is komplete trash. As always the fans came up with awesome theories and the very untalented guy who writes the story fucked up everything. What a joke. They should really start hiring fans. The story is written for 2 minutes complete absence of thought. I puke on this.

Cyber SUb could just be a fun little extra for us to have, kind of like how Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Kitana are revenants in the games entire story and don't get restored, yet their primary costumes is their normal selves.

How he can split idk, but I don't think it really matters that much. He is a cyborg built with crazy fictional tech, so it isn't like its hard to believe or anything. How is a human like Kung Lao able to teleport? To my knowledge that has never been explained, and I find that more far fetched than a cyborg being able to separate into 3 different cyborgs tbh lol

Though I would be really happy if NRS explained that to us, I love little details like that.
