What? I didn't get the rewards or anything when did it happen???

You have to be a part of that win to get the last Faction Kill. I'm just shocked that Special Forces went from 20% to 27% so quickly.

You have to contribute to the war to get the rewards IIRC.

Look at it this way -

The majority of people who were achievement hunting or rotating through Factions to see what they had have all finished. If you remember, for the first 6 - 8 weeks, Special Forces was at the absolute bottom. The stats every week showed that less than 10% of players used Special Forces.

The interest in the SF is non-existant, so when people were done rotating through all the factions, they went to SF last. Now, they can't be bothered to change the faction they represent again, because we now know 3 months into the game's existence that the factions are actually kind of pointless...they serve no real purpose other than offering you 4, up to 5, fatalities and "Kard" options.

So hence, everyone went to it last, can't be bothered changing it, so when people are playing, they're repping Special Forces whether by intention or not. Also, it's logical to assume that NRS has a hand in "nudging" specific factions to the forefront (case in point - Brotherhood won last week, yet Special Forces is right back at the top again).

This makes sense to me because I can't think of any other way the special forces would keep winning there's no way they would be more popular then the other factions especially not by that much I guess they didn't think of that scenario when making the faction system. See I left my main faction brotherhood of shadow till last so I didn't have to change again after getting the trophy!

I have to not believe so many people are that brainless, that they didn't think their final chosen faction would... be their final chosen faction. I can't wrap my head around this theory, I don't think humanity has reached that level of stupid.

I figured there was an "underdog" allure to the faction after the first few weeks; the way so many people who play online despise Scorpion and Sub-Zero players. To be a cool hipster of sorts.

Anyway, even IF your theory was the driving force behind the constant, consecutive SF wins--one would assume if a player cared even mildly about representing a certain faction, they would be in that faction regardless of what number they would have on the right of their Kombat Kard for a couple more weeks before it reached 50. I, for example, never switched, even knowing there wasn't anything else to gain from staying in a maxed-out faction.

Have to agree. Also explains why the Lin Kuei ae doing so poorly in recent Faction wars even though they comfortably won the first Faction War.
