This game is missing that shlocky kung-fu flick feeling. To me that's all it's really "missing" that I think it should have.

Anything else would be just be nitpicks on my part.

I feel most strongly about lack of stages, lack of stage fatalities, & lack of Fujin.

Characters: Smoke, Fujin, Reiko

Stages: Living Forest, or some other Iconic Stage. The fact that there is no pit stage is a big mistake since they are a staple of Mortal Kombat

Hidden characters. Did they forget what a real hidden character is???? Its not a character you show a dozen times on the roster, only to make him unlockable once you beat the game.... I want mystery... We all hoped the question mark would be a surprise hidden character... but nope.. it was a fucking random select button. I don't think people were asking "Oooh please NRS give us a big random select button on the select screen, that's what we have been missing!!"

I want something like Smoke and Jade and Noob in MK2 or Reptile in MK1... or even Smoke in MK3. Yes the icon spun and revealed who it was but we had to figure out how to unlock him.

Could be worse. GTAV.net forums complaining about every little detail, when R* does patch shit, they complain, they release new content, they complain, and every little game bug or error is soooo obviously ``cockstar`` trolling them...

Yeah, but we gotta remember the game could've been worse too. Or not at all. (instead have Injustice two)

If Capcom is living proof of anything, we could've had "Ultra Mortal Kombat 9". Or (and I'm sorry to say this) a Tekken 7 case.

Forest Fox slays any newbie in his brief comic appearance. He was seriously great. Such a shame he didn't make it in. ugh.

I even loved him before his possession. Perfect rival/friend for Takeda. Missed opportunity.

The system of character unlocking is fun and I love it, but its not compatible with today gaming : If we do a tournament with a console without the save data, then some players won't be able to pick their missing character.

Then someone better power through that Konquest mode a week before that tournament then.

I think people are getting spoiled. Any area the game lacks in (i.e. stages) it makes up for in other areas (i.e. presentation). Most of the complaints I hear are nitpicks that will be forgotten a few months from now.
