People like her because of her involvement with both of the Sub-Zero brothers. She was an assassin for Quan Chi, but broke free and helped out Sub-Zero (Noob). Which I find kind of ironic since in Konquest mode, the Brotherhood of Shadow was looking to kill her. Just because she has only been in two games, doesn't mean that she isn't popular or worth bringing back. She's become a cult favorite, much like Rain, Ermac, and Smoke.

I would like to see her return, mostly because I haven't gotten the chance to play with her in MKTE. but I'd also like to see Frost return, as well as Sonya, Jade, and Kitana, maybe even Nitara.

Kitana
A mainstay; very important to the storyline. She should return now especially when her story holds so much potential. She is currently evil again....one of her worst fears. Something can(and should) come of that. Also Goro, whom she considered a friend, is serving Shao Kahn again.
Not to mention Mileena is still about....although IMO, Kitana and Mileena should probably stay out of each others' business for a while and try new things.

Mileena
Having finally reached a turning point in her story, I think it'd be a shame(and waste) for Mileena to go now. Finally trying to take her own power makes her an enemy or potential enemy of Shao Kahn, Onaga, Baraka, and any other freak who wants to take over Edenia. Not to mention the good guys who'll be trying to free Edenia. I definitly want to see where Mileena goes and what she does from here.


Not necessary, but I'd like back:

Tanya
This is the bitch I want to see Mileena fight with for Edenia's throne. Have her team with Baraka or maybe Shao Kahn against Mileena. Build her up as the worse of the two evils. Opens interesting possibilites for Mileena.
I'd also like to see her feud with Jade be developed.

Jade
If Kitana's story progresses the way I hope, Jade may be forced to take an important position in the Edenia storyline. I'd also like to see some development on Jade's background and her rivalry with Tanya.

Ashrah
She could be used to build Sareena's storyline. She could at first assume Sareena's evil and try to kill her(brief rivalry), then realize Sareena turned against the Brotherhood and Quan Chi they could team up.

Khameleon
With everything that's happening with Reptile, Khameleon could play an interesting role in his storyline. Assuming he survives the Onaga ordeal(which he probably will), can Khameleon prevent Reptile from becoming Shao Kahn's pet yet again? Or does she have some other agenda?

Nitara
No paticular reason or concrete story ideas. I'd just like to see her back. She seemed cool.

Frost
Frost looked interesting. Even if she is really dead, she can still play an interesting role in the Sub-Zero/Noob Saibot situation.

Kira
Kira was cool. She seems interesting and could play an interesting role in whatever Kabal does with his Black Dragon. She just needs her own moves.

Kia
Snowballs' chance in hell, but I'll mention her anyway. Another character who could be used in Sareena's storyline.


Maybe's:

Sindel
I like Sindel and would like her back. But if Kitana's storyline goes the way I hope, Sindel may have to sit out a game or two.
If she does come back, she needs more of her own purpose and not just "Kitana's protective mother."

Li Mei
I like Li Mei teetering between good and evil, like she was in Deception. Honestly not very interested in a completely evil Li Mei.....but MK could use more villainesses.
I could take or leave her.

I'd like to see:

Ashrah: I think that her story is just beginning. Furthermore, despite her Rayden-esque appearance and Rayden/Kung Lao special moves, I think that she has the potential to play a much bigger part in the MK universe for several games to come. I'd like to learn more about her, and I'd also like to see where she lands after MK:D. Both marks of an interesting character to me.

Kira: Alot of people seem to share the view that Kira is unmet potential personified. I agree. She looks really cool, has a good affiliation with Kabal and the Black Dragon, but has ripped off moves and styles. Given a touch of innovation in the moves category, I'd love to see her back in MK7.

Li Mei: I know, she's been in the last two games, but I'm simply waiting for something to actually happen with her. I'd kinda like to see a plotline involving her and Kung Lao, but who knows. Either way, she has a cool look and a storyline that I'd love to see delved into further.

Sareena: I'm like alot of you on this board in thinking that Sareena has a great back story. I'd love to actually play as her, as I think that she could fit well into several current storylines. Plus, I always dig the idea of making old characters new again and playable.

I wouldn't mind it if they brought back:

Nitara: I'd prefer to see a different vampire in the next game, but Nitara looked cool and had some decent, albeit too few moves. Her story was so-so, but I could see her being alot better than she was in MK:DA, and I thought she was pretty good then.

Jade: She's always been a favorite of mine, despite the fact that she never quite fits into any plot of her own. Sure, she had a little rivalry with Tanya in MK:D, but that was probably the most insignificant plotline in the whole game. If they got her away from Sindel and Kitana, I think that she could be great on her own. She's got cool moves, and a good look, so I wouldn't mind seeing her return.

Kitana: Is she dead or what? Not that it matters. Still, if Liu Kang is dead, then she needs something new to do. I say leave her out for one more game and perhaps have her return to claim her place from Milleena. But she has a huge fan base and interesting, albeit very old moves.

I'd bench them for a game:

Sonya: I'd like to see a new special forces person, man or woman, that looks more like covert ops than military. Leave Sonya on the sideline for another game and then bring her back with more to do than chase the Black Dragon. Also, get her away from Jax, he basically turned into a joke character in MK:DA.

Milleena: She was great in MK:D, aside from only having the same three moves she's had since MK2. Still, I'd rather see her sit out for the next game and return with a fresh new plot. We get it, her and Baraka like to backstab one another. Message received. Arguably the best new look for an old character in MK:D was squandered by her plot and move list. Bring on the new.

I'd be fine if they never appeared in an MK game again:

Sindel: I never dug the whole flying thing, and to be honest, I always thought that she looked silly. Kinda like the bride of frankenstein, only skanked out. Never been a fan and never will be.

Tanya: She has cool moves, especially in MK:D, but her appearance and her story are just plain boring. She's never had a good story in fact. I wouldn't mind it if they spread her moves out to other characters and never had her in an MK game again.

Frost: I'm sure that alot of you will disagree with me on this, but she just seemed like a ripoff character. She had Sub Zero's moves mainly, and she looked absolutely rediculous with frozen hair and her little she-lin kuei outfit. Average moves, average look (even her second costume), and an average plotline leave me little hope for an improvement in the future.

If you hadn't noticed, my main choices for the new game is all newer or never played as women. I'd say give the veterans a rest. We all know their stories and have seen their moves a million times. Give Ashrah and Kira some original moves and I'd like the potential those two along with Li Mei and Sareena, though I'd probably want about 5 or 6 women in the game in total.

Kitana- Invovled basically with all main storylines. XiahouDun gave good explanaition.
Sareena- Masses of potential. Only person invovled with Both Sub Zeros (Or one of the few). Lon overdue an appeareance as BLade-Tsung and XiahouDun pointed out.
Nitara- By far the best newcomer to MK:DA. Lots of potentail, and it was hinted the Vampires would threaten Earthrealm.
Khameleon- Long overdue an apperance. Lots of potential with the Reptile/Onaga stuff going on.

Li Mei- Dont really see where se can go. If she gets a good stoyline, by all means bring her back. She grew on me in MK:D due to her vast improvement.
Jade- Needs to be involved with other characters more.
Sindel- Needs to be mroe than a back up storyling character for Kitana, or the doting mother.
Ashrah- Her mission toe scape the Netherrealm seems like it will come true. Mission accomplished. case closed. Too similar to Sareena.
Sheeva- Has a lot of potential, only problem is she is dead and ressurections are getting boring.
Mileena- Needs to do something that doesn't involve Kitana. Her story has always been about Kitana or involving Kitana directly. get a grip dear, and the Kitana hate die (preferably with u if u cant let it go).

Should never return.
Sonya- Stale, boring. Used to really like her till she vecame this way. Ok she's Earth's only feamle representative, thats her only reason for being there now. Women are easy to find in Earth. She can be replaced.
Frost- Dead. Was a rip off character. uninteresting.
Kira- Boring. The idea of a Female Black Dragon Clansman has been around for ages and much sought after. Big disappointment. She was ruined by those who created her. Not her fault, but shouldn't return.
Tanya- Just die please, and stay dead. Boring story, exactly same one in MKD and MK4 only the bad guy changed. too similar to others who have long been stale and boring like Kano. MKD was her second chance and she blew it. Only good thing was her Kobu-Jutsu.
Kia, Jataaka, Tasia- I dont see them having a place in future games. Tasia especially. Kia and Jataaka might feature in Sareena's, or even Ashrah's, storyline, but I dont see them returning as such.

I think all of them should return with the exception of Sheeva.

Sonya

she should return, but she needs to break free of the lame Special Forces storyline and get something exciting and fresh.

Kitana

She's not as important as so many poeple make out, but she is highly essential. Just because she is involved with so many others, it does not mean she has to continue said involvements. She also needs some sort of change in story.

Jade

I'm bored of her being all about Kitana and Edenia. She needs to be independant. Something must happen that takes her away from all them both. Her feud with Tanya should continue, but there needs to be more.

Mileena

She's finally broken away from the killing Kitana storyline and has set herself up for so many good things. she's done well to get to where she is and I hope they realsie the potential she has and exploit it well.

Sindel

She also needs to break away from Kitana. Fortunately she has some options for MK7.

Khameleon

I dislike her, but she has potential. I think she deserves another chance and would do well in MK.

Tanya

She needs to lose this slave story and add something to her quest for power, but also needs something more interesting to spice it up. I don't think her and Jades hatred for one another is enough.

Nitara

There's so much wasted potential here it's unbelievable. She must come back!

Li Mei

So much potential given her MKD story. I'm not sure what they'll do with her, but she could be very interesting in the future.

Frost

More wasted potential. I'm not big on ressurections at all, but hers can work.

Ashrah

Her story needs more involvement and something new otherwise it'll just be boring and render her pointless.

Kira

I'm not too interested in her story and think it needs something new.

And then there's Kia and Jataaka. Something was explained to me a few weeks back that made perfect sense and means these two could have been back in MK a long time ago. So it's not as long a shot as you think, XiahouDun84.

Kira- Give her her own moves though. But she has to return, and we need another cool bad girl, and also antoher female Earthrealm fighter.

Nitara- Has so much potential, and quickly became one of my favourites. they should do more with the vampire powers.

Mileena- Has to come back, she's finally developing without Kitana. Love the new storyline too.

Li Mei- Was great in MKDA, really imroved in MKD, and still has a lot of potential. Don't make her evil, have her instead torn between good and bad, trying to fight her dark side.

Jade- If they mix her MKD styles with her speed from the classic games, she could be unstoppable. She's still a great character, and I love her MKD makeover.

Sareena- Surely it's time to finally give her a chance in a mainstream MK. So many of us want the sexy assasin to return, and she's very well developed for a side game character.

Would like to see back, but not my first choices:

Frost- She badly needs more unique moves, but otherwise she has a lot of potential. We don't really have younger, inexperienced fighters in MK, and she had a cool look.

Kitana- Used to be my favourite MK female. She is far too important to not return, and they should mix her new styles with her old speed.

Sheeva- Not popular I know. But I think it would be nice to see a female powerhouse, and if she came back as a grappler/power hitter, she could be very unique.

Not bothered either way:

Sonya- Really not bothered by her anymore. The most overrated character who isn't Scorpion, but I don't hate her. Would rather see a new Earthrealm female or two.

Sindel- I hated her in the classics. She improved in MKD, but I just didn't really get into her. Much rather Kitana instead.

Khameleon- Just a boring pallete swap, but the storyline has potential. Should only come back if she was revamped to become her own character.

Dump them:

Tanya- Why bring back the female equivalent of Hsu Hao, generic henchperson? She was good for a one game filler, but her time should have ended in MK4.

Ashrah- Very plain character with too many stolen moves. Her storyline was good for one game, but if she came back, she'd most likely end up like Tanya, a nothing character.

Kai/Jakata/Tassia- Leave them in the past. They were just side game extras, with nothing to warrant a return.

Females that should return:

And they should bring out Sareena.

Sindel equals Slut Queen of Post Mortem. A single strech tanga wont make me want her back, shhesh, i care about MK and shes not necessary IMHO.

Not necessary? She's the queen of freakin Edenia for crying out loud, and Kitana's mother! She was conqured and controlled by Shao Kahn and had a husband murdered by him. Continuing story potential is nearly unlimited.
She also has always had huge potential in the gameplay department as well. Her scream alone is a killer move.
And she's incredibly hot. Come ON Crome lol

I think that Sindels purpose was in MK3, but this late instalment brought us nothing except her rallying to rescue Kitana. Both of them only lessens their uniqueness (almost everyone from the edenian females is a royalty)

I simply don't like her that much. I have nothing against her reallly aside from the extraorbitantly ugly model she was in MK3 (MKA movie wasn't better, instead of looking ugly, she acted ugly. Trust me, my mother is a lead actress). She isn't that bad, however the others are simply better, thats it.

i think all should return sooner or later and ones like sareena and kia should be given a chance , but i would really like to see sheeva given a second chance she was badass!

It doesnt matter who returns, all i want is Li Mei. They could do so much with her story.

My story- She can turn into the Dragon Queen if the Dragon King is still alive. Or maybe, the Dragon King give her all his power when he is about to die and she turn into one powerful babe. I can see her having a set of dragon wings or even a tail. And who knows, she can be a boss or the sub-boss .

Almost all female characters should return. Remember, MK 's ratio of female kombatants to male kombatants is small. MK's history of female characters is also not that great.

And yeah, Sareena rules, bring her back! She has a lot of story potential with Sub and Noob.
