As a Sektor fan... I agree, lol.

His throw feels like it was just done as a last minute thing, it's like they couldn't come up with a throw so they had him just slam you.

But I feel like it kinda speaks for his personality, his throw has big impact and feels like it's out of angry and the throw feels ruthless. I like it from a character stand point but I think it's stupid from a visual stand point.

As for best throw in MKX, hands down Kung Lao has and will always have the best throw, I don't think anybody can top that.

Sonya's I love (and that's saying something because I, as a fan, wasn't blown away by her gameplay in the stream). I always saw Sonya as a heavily leg-based, acrobatic sort of character, and that throw is sweet (as are her parry throws in her first variation)


I also quite liked Mileena from memory, and Kung Lao's is pretty brutal.

Sadly I sometimes miss which ones are throws and which ones are just regular special moves when watching gameplay >_>

But basing off of what I DO remember, I'd have to say it's a toss up between Mileena's, Reptile's, and Kung Lao's. But seriously, I don't think there's been one I've disliked yet.

Lol, Why? I mained Sonya Blade in MK9 and I found her gameplay in MKX to be very interesting and actually kind of nice. I really liked her first variation which had her use that thing that she uses to cut people's heads clean off with.

I found her to be pretty cool and wasn't that bad, I just hope her EX Kart-wheel is still armoured, I see no reason why it won't be but hey, something they make stupid decisions.

But as for her variations, I found her to be very enjoyable and very different in each one. I'm looking forward to trying her out and potentially main her again as she is one of the few female characters I like.

I'm in the same boat on that one.

Kenshi easily has the worst throw, that looked like a placeholder throw.

Best I'd say is Johnny Cage because it's animated so damn well. Like the way the opponent's limbs bend, looks so good.

But primarily I'm frustrated because none of the variations suit my playstyle or what I see Sonya as.

The first one fits her character, and looks great, but I can't parry for shit... and grenades and a drone seems to slow her down and be rather uninspired and not useful (for me). Others might find it good, but not for me.



Back onto throws, I did have a question for everyone - is there a 'high-level play' reason for throws? I use them when I'm feeling hammered and what an easy unblockable attack, but I could never remember which was the button command to throw them in a certain direction for repositioning... Any hardcore fighters have tips?

Best throw is a tie for me between Sub-Zero and Kung Lao. They have the best throws in the game.

Other great throws: Kitana, D'Vorah, and Raiden.

Worst throw: Johnny Cage's regular. His buffed throw is better.

Not surprised, tbh. It's really nonsensical when you consider his moveset and abilities.

I honestly don't like Scorpion's throw, or rather, how the camera works with it. Seems too...I don't know.

Big fan of Kung Lao's, though, especially when it's turned into a Brutality.

Does an "MKX character throw montage video" exist? Because honestly I can't remember half of them in this game.

Raiden's just flat out sucks the cock! His combostring throw & Regular throw should swap command inputs. That combostring throw would've been a whole lot better of a throw for Raiden.

Speaking of throws, It looks like D'Vorah Sonya & Jax are only getting Midair throws. Kano & Scorpion lost theirs. Cassie doesn't count.
Sub-Zero throw sucks too. It's just his Armageddon throw.

I can't really remember all of them but the one that left the biggest impression on me is Kung Lao!

Does everyone only have one throw? I liked having two throws in MK9.

If it helps anything, some characters have throws in their combostrings.

Best throw? For me it has to be Kung Lao's Ip Man beatdown. I'll give a nod to Erron Black for style points though.

Worst throw? Gotta be Kenshi. Guy uses TK for practically everything but decides not to for the throw. Such an odd choice.

Ferra/Torr is just a punch with Torr grunting at the enemy. How is that better than the flurry of punches Kenshi does?

Best ones are without a doubt Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Kenshi, Takeda and Johnny Cage's. They're visceral and well animated.

kenshi's today was pretty lame.

Torr's throw has 2 variations. one with Ferra & one without.

Both being worse than Kenshi. Especially the lackey variation.

But I'm reading that the reason people dislike Kenshi's is because it doesn't use his powers. Good ol' fashion beatdown is bad for some reason.
