there are way more interesting characters, female wise, before Nitara.

People say she's unique because she's a vampire in MK, but she's just another basic vampire, nothing special about her.

Ashrah, Sareena, Li Mei, Kira, all fit in better to MK than Nitara does.

I too would've liked to see nitara come back at least as cameo in story mode she could've played some part in the outworld civil war maybe sided with miler a to make her threat more credible. I think that outworld civil war arc was glossed over way to quick and could have and should have been expanded upon a bit more with the inclusion of more charcaters like nitara.

It's because she doesn't already have a model in the game. Compare that to Tanya, Bo Rai Cho and Sektor who were already modeled for story mode without reusing MK9 assets as the DLC we already have or the more popular requests like Fujin, Frost, Li Mei, Rain, Baraka and Sindel who were given the same treatment.

I'd argue that it shouldn't be hard to reuse Baraka, Rain and Sindel as they are in game with their MK9 normals intact and special attacks being tweaked for variations. They're already mostly complete, it's just a matter of adding variations and balancing them and the latter can be done with patches. I'd argue that since they are already on disc and modders have made them playable, that they should be released for free as a stopgap between now and April when KP2 hits. The game sold five million copies, the DLC sold well enough for a second round and we sat through the disastrous PC launch. At this point, they can afford to do a little something for the fans.

I'd say it's simple. We've been getting 2 MK characters per DLC pack. I'd say like 1 and 3/4 with KP2 because Triborg was never in an MK game before. There are a lot of characters who deserve to be in both from fan demand and story relevance. For whatever reason there seems to be a big disconnect between what the fans want and what actually gets in, and even the MK characters who get in aren't necessarily the most popular votes. I don't think there's anything wrong with Nitara, but she's not at the top of the list. Long story short, beggars can't be choosers.

She is just another vampire, though if you want to be creative about it she is a forced character with wings. Other fighting games have playable characters with wings so MK had to try it, however it wasn't implemented well.

Since when was MK concerned with competing with other fighting game franchises?

I like Nitara, but I don ́t ask for her because there are just sereval characters I would rather see before her, and I think that is the case for most people.


Also, I don't think people realize most of the 3D era characters ended up being bland because of the game themselves were. People judge Nitara by her appearences in MKDA and MKA, and yes, those are the only ones we have, but just think of how bad Sonya or Jax were in those games too. Just see how much better those two are now when compared to their 3D era selves, that overhaul can be done for most characters. I ́m not saying you have like the 3D era newcomers or ask for them, but just keep an open mind cause . It ́s unfair to say "She had wonky specials", "her gameplay was weird", or "her desing was bland" when that was the case for more than half the MKA cast, including the golden cows of the MKT era.

Never said competing. The idea was more along the lines that other franchises have winged characters, and Midway thought they could pull it off too. She's boring and unoriginal IMO.

She's been my number one want since Deadly Alliance. I loved Her/Cyrax/Reptile's story, and her design, and she was my go-to character (despite her insanely boring fatality).

I think she suffers a bit in the eyes of the casual fan/player from being a vampire. A lot of people see that and instantly write her off as a fantasy/horror trope the franchise didn't need.

I'd absolutely LOVE to see her return, but I've honestly never held my breath about it.

An abysmal character that could have a role in the future of MK considering that she is the mastermind behind the whole Blood Magik arc from the comics.


My personal thought is that she deserves to be killed off and receive the same Hsu Hao treatment.
