Except for Bo' Rai Cho, he wouldn't fit in with the cast in this "darker" MK game. Plus Rain and maybe Smoke as DLC.

Almost perfect, but I would change Kitana (died) and Sonya ( not being in the game), for Rain(personal choice, but his story could merge with Tanya) and Kano ( very likely to be in), also you made me remember that Sektor survived MK9.
For the MK4-MKD era I would only change Bo rai cho (too comical) for Sareena, whose story fits very well with t Quan chi and Shinnok.

Kitana, Sonya, Kabal, Cage and Stryker are not going to be playable, get real.

Kitana and Kabal I can understand, but why Johnny and Sonya? Just because Cassie is in the game doesn't mean that her parents won't be. I have been noticing people putting their favorites in. I guess it's just wishful thinking on their part.

Kitana and Cage are too popular to not be considered. Sonya is doubtful.

Both of them (and Sonya) have been left out on several ocasions, they were playable the previous game, and one is dead while the other 2 have a daughter with their moves.

You act like they're Raiden or Scorpion and have been in every game since MK3.

Also, if we had Johnny Cage, would be pretty weird to play as him with a new moveset, since many of his attacks where given to Cassie.

6.Reptile - Would like to see him no longer as a lackey but set out on his own whether he be Good, Evil or Neutral
7. Cyrax/Sektor - One or the other here. I prefer Cyrax even though story line wise he is still with the Lin Kuei
8. Baraka - How could you not want Baraka in the game. Yea he's a dumb lackey but he is vicious as all hell

We don't know if Liu Kang died...And Boon's implied in tweets to not assume dead characters are out of question. The game spans 25 years a lot can happen in that period, like the resurrection of some characters...it happened in the past.

It's key to have only 1, rarely 2 characters for each status, whatever MK. For MKX's line up, why have more than 1 god, 1 sorcerer, 1 mercenary etc, it's not viable. The benefit, in the long run, if the series continued after MKX, is there is more chance past surviving characters would have longevity. This will also leave room for newcomers and prospects in the game as well. If there are too many characters under the same title, they will clash unless the back story is truly legit. So if I were to select who I'd want in MKX, personally, I would make sure I had none in the same power department. There are more than enough lamented fighters that could be revived, if done at the appropriate time.

I'd like to think that Jax might be returning in accordance to boot hint 5. That would be if it's not a new character.
