She definitely doesn't remind me of Rhianna in any way, shape, or form (unless you go the generic route and say that they both have dark skin and dark brown hair).
If I heard her sing as badly as Rhianna, then I might be more inclined to agree with you, but until then, nope.

I personally don't see Rihanna or Angela Basset as Tanya. I don't see the resemblance at all I'm afraid. If I could pick anyone to portray Tanya. It would be a Kerry Washington. She's got the look and the acting skill.

Tanya is more of a Gabriel Union, then Rihanna. I dont know whether or not it's the lotions, oils, and cremes on Rihanna, but her skin complection is too light and the looks don't match. Gabriel would win Tanya's part in a new flick anyday.
