If it's any consolation, I'm working on writing my own that fits that description, and I'll post it on MKO when I'm done - if I ever finish.

I'm not sure of the site that you are refering to, but fanfiction.net has a lot of MK stuff written and you might be able to find what you are looking for, or at least something like it.

it was an old guide to all the MK games, with characters bios, storylines, move sets etc. it used to be at mortlakombatbible.com, which liked from hthis site, but its not there anymore. It appears to be a blog about martial arts now. EDIT: A I found the new location of the Bible here: http://mkbible.mortalkombatwiki.com/ The author even has a twitter account where he posts his updates

It's not so much a FAQ or a guide so much as a novel. It's just likie a book. It's story is in the format of your typical novel. I remember reading it when I was like 11. I'm going on 18 now and I still remember reading it. I used to go back every day to see if the author had written a new chapter. I think the last time I read it was in the middle of MK2 and then my computer crashed and a few years later when we finally got a new one, I had forgotton all about it.

Damn, should have written it down.

Do you remember what forums it was in? Anything like that would probably be found in the fan submission forum. If you remember any details. About the author, title or story you can try searching it

Actually if you can't find it online, I think I know what you're talkin' abuot and if it IS, then I happened to have a printed out copy of it somewhere here. I'll take a look later when my errands are done with, I gotta route through all that stuff anyway

There IS a novel, it gets kinda corny after the Kung-Lao versus Goro stuff, though. The events take place (by the end of the novel) just before the first tournament. I thought it wasn't really all that great, Johnny Cage gets the shaft in it even though he's in the picture at the front of the book, but all the other characters are in it. But seriously the beginning of it really isn't that bad the stuff about Kung-Lao winning the tournaments and it covers up until just after he fights Goro and is killed


About the site I got the story from I was referring to in the post above this covers back to the days when Raiden banished Shinnok up until the most recent event (at the time), I think it was Mortal Kombat 4 when a buddy of mine printed it off for me.
