Please explain to me how anything in any of the games was "good" in terms of story when any consequence was retconed right afterwards, making everything absolutely pointless.

You know, the guy we're supposed to believe not only took out the tyrant of countless realms, but also managed to defeat an elder god. Uh...sure, fuck it, why not.

We take the ending, of a secret character no less as canon, where another, up until this point barely mentioned character is now brought into the game with zero actual development beside "Yo this guy predates Shao Kahn" as the big bad guy along with what might as well have been their attempt of putting God in the game. Or it might as well have been. And then we also get this backstory of some dumb shmuck running around some fever dream version of the MK timeline collecting God's consciousness. *Goes cross-eyed from the retardation*

Remeber that secret character who's only made one appearance? Yeah now he's the big bad. Oh and here's this other dumb shmuck trying to fight his dumb shmuck of a brother over weapons and armor that their god parents left them in order to beat this irrelevant bad guy to give us a reason to restart from the begining because after 20 years, this shit is getting ridiculous. Thus making the entire past 20 years of events also irrelevant, but that's okay because that's nothing new.

Yeah, but with MK it's so easy because they do it with EVERY FUCKING GAME DERP, that it deserves to be made fun of. And I get why they do it. To make room for a sequel. Come onnnn. This video was supposed to a parody of MK's storyline. Now look - it started a war. Just enjoy it for what it is. Obviously it's not a serious rendition of the storyline... it's simply a joke.
I'm glad somebody at least attempted a storyline summary for fuckin once. This wasn't that bad, but there where some cheap laughs and they didn't explain certain aspects well enough. They should have put there extra two minutes to good use.

The video was kinda funny nothing mindblowing. Sure mks story isnt great but its the best there is in fighting games. At least there "was" sommthing to make fun of, instead of a whole lot of nothing (every other fighter). Then again video games in general (franchises) if they follow a story of are often exrtemely ridiculous.
Not including turn based rpgs (dont play them but recognzie some have good stories) I can think of like a FEW games that have a good storyline. Heavy Rain, the Darkenss... and .... ? (cant think of another) apparently mass effect has a great one.
