I think they should make a game similar to marvel vs capcom. So why not take two of the best classic fighting games of all time and put them against each other....winkwinkwinkwink

Theres alot of things right and wrong this crossover!
In Mk you can duck projectiles
In Sf you cant!

Will there be breakers?
Can sf character be killed?

Honestly Killer Instinct is a better opponent!

I've been dying for an MK vs. SF since MK2 came out for SNES.

I have absolute faith in this happening.

MK showed that they could tone down the blood and gore with MK vs. DC. If this was absolutely necessary to get SF then I'd be ok with it.

Also with MK vs. DC they showed crossover power. I'm certain Capcom was concerned with MK having no crossovers that is until DC.

Another piece of info that might appeal to Capcom is WB's purchase of MK.

And last but not least and perhaps the most important factor of all....staying power. Why? Because MK=$$$$$$$$$$.

Allow me to humor you....

Imagine youre a Capcom CEO or upper management and you have this crazy American named Boon desperately trying to do a crossover with you. And he's willing to adjust and slightly alter his product to better fit with yours. Initially, you think no big deal until you realize the LEGION of fans MK has.

SF fans=Millions

MK Fans=Millions

Mk vs SF= MILLIONS of $$$$$$$$$$$

What would you do Mr. CEO?

But Street Fighter is ghey, I mean they have one guy wear pink. I know Mortal Kombat has one guy who wears purple but its ok because purple is a dark and gritty colour. And we have a boss character who wears bondage gear.
(I am not being serious at all.)


I see MK Vs SF happening.

I also see a lot of butthurt happening. Because of the lack of blood in SF.

The inkstain effect in SF4 can easily be used in red to simulate the blood and avoiding censorship.


Plus it could look stylish.

I really wouldn't mind if Capcom used the SF4 art style on the MK Universe. It would make for a nice change of pace.
i wouldnt mind it but can street fighter charachters kill? because if they cant then imo its a bad idea because itll be watered down like mk vs dcu. i enjoyed mk vs dcu but wb should left out the heroes and just kept the villains in

I believe street fighter characters would be willing to kill. Shadoloo as a whole would eagerly kill any adversary, and I am sure Guile wouldn't think twice about killing if he had to. I only worry about people like Dhalsim, who are more non-violent, but even then i feel that in a do or die situation, they would kill.

Vega would have beautiful fatalities.

Maybe guys like Dhalsim could have something similar to Heroic Brutalities from MK vs. DCU, they're like Fatalities, but they don't kill the opponent.

How awesome would it be if Akuma's Fatality would be the Shun Goku Satsu (Or maybe the Shin Shun Goku Satsu)?

Or what about the story? Would Shao Kahn make a deal with M. Bison?

I know Ed Boon wants this to come true, HOWEVER! And it is a big HOWEVER! Though I like Street Fighter, if Capcom does not agree to go all out with the gore MK is known for, I won't support the idea.

I do like the idea of Cammy getting the MK treatment. That would just be awesome. ^^

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Anyone who argues against an MK vs SF game is a party-pooper who just wants to be different. Seriously. SERIOUSLY.

SF has three 'levels' of characters: the cutesy characters, the "brutal" characters, and the characters we don't know enough about.

SF could be made more Dark, Gritty, and Realistic. I, being a default MK fan, would be all for that and totally should write a fanfic!!!~````````one

But yeah, since I'm never around on the website I didn't realize how often the MK vs. SF threads appear, so let's see how many times I can use my beautiful picture in the next month.

No, I know Street Fighter. I'm saying like for instance Yun and Yang. They could either be 'Hey! We're Action Sports kids from the 90s!" or "Hey! Our parents were killed by Triads who then named us and raised us!" (KITTY!!1111) Or like Remy. Would he kill someone? (LOL REMY M I RITE) p.s. I liked SFIII too

Still don't understand the appeal of this crossover. Besides both of them being popular during about the same period,MK and SF are two different fighting games that aren't compatible either style-wise,or engine-wise. I DON'T want to imagine Scorpion,Sub-Zero or Raiden in anime style,fuck that! Instead this crossover MK team could start working on new MK game. That's why Tekken and Street Fighter work out better.

Sorry for ruining this for all supporters,but I don't see it working and I am against this idea.

oh u silly. It would NEVER be watered down Mortal Kombat, it would be violenced-up SF. Hmm. Gives me an idea to do (my favorite) SF character renders (well, mock-renders) MK style.

There would need to be an SFvMK and an MKvsSF because they games couldnt play more differently!

Somethings thats more likely could be one of the more brutal SF characters making a guest apearance in a future MK, but I know how you all feel about guest in MK.

I'm not a huge anime fan, in fact I hate anime. But I remembered the old Street Fighter anime cartoon they had on a long time ago.

I could recall a fight between Vega and Ken in a steel cage match. It was freaking bloody. The mug shots in the earlier games revealed a lot of blood on their characters, with the exception of the female characters.

The only problem I have with this, is the finishers. Will Capcom really allow MK characters to kill their creations, such as how DC did it? Would SF characters do a really long brutal combo that would have some sort of a lame name attached to it like Heroic Brutalites?

(Like Wonder Woman swinging a body around and having them land on their heads was really brutal... /sarcasm)

I really just don't see this game ever coming to. I really don't. If it does, well hey it proved me wrong. But I just don't ever see it happening.
