Sareena is an okay character.

The pros:
Good special moves, good speed and interesting storyline.

The cons:
Only playable in MKA and also MKTE.

Unliked the other characters, she started in an adventure MK game.
Sareena is told to be neutral but I consider her as a good character though her real form is a demon. We all know she has been spared by original Sub-Zero. But what does she feel for Sub-Zero? Does she consider him as a patner or is she in debt with Sub-Zero cause his brother didn't kill her long ago? Btw, she has a very good MKA bio. She deserves her place in MK8 too.

Sareena has the possibility to be one of the main characters in the future MK games. She has a fantastic story, that can evolue to something great. She has style, power, and she is a naturally evil-linked character, but she belongs to the good side. Much like the anti-hero stereotype. I hope she returns in the future. Great character.

Sareena's definitely a favorite character of mine. I see quite a bit of potential for her, and I hope to see her continue on to the next-gen MK games. I like her story concept and how she wants to change for the better, but has to struggle the darkness within her. Her next-gen story should be about her journey towards redemption, imo. She is that type of character that you'd want to see be redeemed, unlike Noob Saibot, who works better as an irredeemable character.

From a gameplay perspective, she is quite cheap in MKA. Ba Shan Fan can be fitting for her, but the fact that they screwed up on how they did that style (among others) is what made some turned off by the style choice she was given. For the Demon Fang weapon, it's alright. I guess she should keep it. For her special moves, I like them all, but I hope they can tone down the Throwing Knife move. I'd like to see an energy absorbing move, one that kind of sounds like something she did in her MKTE bio. Her keeping Ba Shan Fan is fine as long as they do it right. If not, they could give her Chuojiao, which compliments Ba Shan Fan.

For her looks, well, she's one of the more revealing characters, but not as much as the level of someone like Mileena or Sheeva. I suppose her costumes are fine. It's just that they way they did her face in MKA is what annoyed me, along with the voice. They should model her face after Lia Montelongo's since she played as Sareena. I guess what I'm saying is that a 3D model of the way Sareena looked in MKM: SZ, along with 1 or 2 other costumes, is what should have been done.

Overall, Sareena is a character that I hope will live and return in future MK games.

Sareena is the top tier hands down in MKA, she's the MKD Bo and Dairou as far as ownage.

As for storyline, her character is developed well with the neatherealm Quan-Chi/Subby storyline and all.

Her bio is very interesting and I do hope to see her pop up again in the future, she's also hot and kinky IMO.grin

Sareena is one of my favorite characters in the game.

Shes one of the characters in the game who actually has potential for a good storyline, but of course,Midway ruined it by making her serve Quan Chi AGAIN. I am hoping she will be in future games but she isnt too popular so she might not.

Gameplay wise shes great, shes powerful, shes got great specials and a good weapon. Her fighting Style in MKA isnt too great though, its rather slow in attack speed.

Her costumes are pretty good, but its her face in MKA thats horrible. They made her so ridiculously ugly in gameplay modes, which has led some people to hate her because she doesnt have Kitana's face and stuff like that.

I just hope that she lives to be in Future Games.

I like Sareena. She's great to use in MKA and her costumes are good yeah, Her face, however, looks bad in the game. I do like her story and she should return in future MKs.

I'm going to have to disagree on this one. You see, Vogel took a mistake that was made in Konquest and turned it into something good. Basically, the ones who put Sareena in Konquest aren't that familiar with the MK storyline. So what Vogel did was write Sareena's bio how it should've been written, namely with her being this conflicted character who wants to be good and loyal to Sub-Zero but struggles with her demonic nature.

I agree with all of you. With MK headed in a darker direction, it would great for a character like Sareena to be more involved. Furthermore, I would have very much liked to have seen individual fatalities for this character.

Sareena has never appealed to me. Like Armlet says, she's an okay character.

I was curious to see what they were gonna do for her in MKA, and as soon as I saw her ridiculous outfit, I stopped caring, which is sad since I know she has the potential to look bold and impressive.

Her bio is alright. It's probably the best thing of her in MKA. I like how Lia played her in Mythologies. In the bloopers found in Deception, she's hilarious. Her laugh makes me laugh and she seems really really sweet. Thank god she also played Sindel.

I don't want Sareena to return. Aside from a decent story, she doesn't have much style or outstanding qualities. Frankly, she's not very memorable, imo, so I think even Li Mei or Tanya should return over her.

Also, I've said this a couple of times... Doesn't her voice in MKA sound like Chucky? It's creepy, sqeaky, and freaky.

I've liked Sareena since her debut in MKM:Subby. For a while there it was kinda' cool, because it seemed like not many people had bothered to finish that game. So Sareena was this little unknown character; like a secret in the fandom.
This became apparent when she made her fighting game debut in MKDA: TE and all the magazines were reporting that she was a brand new character appearing for the 1st time. Gave me a chuckle, it did. Hehe.
I went so far as to build a dinky little tribute website for Sareena (and Reptile) once. I had tons of Sareena pics from the cut-scenes and the big fight (getting pics of all her attacks was a pain, let me tell you). Sadly, that site is long gone. It had something to do with the fact that I was being charged huge amounts of money to keep it going when a free junky site on Geocities would've worked just as well.

But yeah- I always liked her story and her look and she had a lot of stuff going on with a lot of different key MK characters. And we STILL haven't seen what her true, demon form looks like. I swear, if she shows up in MK8, they better have individualized fatalities for everyone again and one of hers better be reverting to demon form to finish the job.

Yeah I must say that what sub-zero7th said I agree with, not that is was THAT big of a deal to begin with given her ending but seriously. You can't let everyones Konquest plot decide the character, everyone just about had a role in that mode at some point.

On another note, her character is awesome as is her bio my only grind with her is the fact that she winds up evil again. I kind of wished she stayed good for good...
