Besides, Hotaru has white hair. He could just be a 60 or so year old man like Shujinko is.

"There is an order to the universe -- laws that all of nature must obey. For centuries I have imposed order on those who would wreak havoc. Outworld has long been a source of disruption, but an old ruler has made a triumphant return. During Onaga's rule, his military forced peace throughout his domain. I will see that his return brings order to this war-torn realm once more. I will fight against the insurgents to clear a path for the Dragon King's coming."

THANK YOU!!!

Damn, should have looked in his bio,so obvious,it hurts...That's a good lesson actually,if you forget something,re-read the bios or endings carefully.

So,then,I guess,Lei Chen COULD have happened long time ago? When Mileena and Baraka were serving Kahn,so obviously BEFORE MK1?

Well of course Lei Chen happened before MK1. Shujinko was still young when you do that mission, so, it was like 40 years ago. I was just figuring what if Hotaru didn't always have white hair and the game just didn't bother to give anyone else skins that show how old they really should be when Shujinko meets them - like how Shang is his young Deadly Alliance self when he invites Shujinko and Kenshi to the tournament. He should have looked like he does in MK1, but they didn't have time to make a new costume that would only be seen in one scene in the game.
But no, apparently Hotaru is super-old like an Edenian because Vogel can't make anybody except humans and Li Mei an age that makes sense.
It just doesn't make sense to say on EVERY realm except Earth people live for a really long time when they went to the trouble of explaining WHY Edenians live that long but then don't do it for the others.

Jade is an oreo.

The age problem could be related to the overall mythical nature of outworld. The people there age not because of any given reason, but because the narrative requires so.

Well, then MK team needs to give a reason, because every good story tends to explain these kinds of small details in other franchises...And I want MK to be a really good storywise,as we do all.

Lets just scrap all midway lore from DA - Armageddon... After MK4 All of those games were VERY rushed, and while they were fun, the lore is a jumbled mess. So DA-Armageddon never existed lets just blame midway for rushing MK out year after year.

How about no. I'll give you Armageddon (even though Vogel tried to fix it with online bios after it came out), but Deadly Alliance is pretty much THE best written game in the whole series, and if it weren't for the Konquest plotholes, Deception would be just as good.
MK4 was more rushed and unfinished than either of them.

Possibly, because of where some inhabited they had the aptitude to modify themselves complexion in ways that aren't like being tanned or anything else divergent. Skin tone evidently changed as it's merely part of the persons persona and what point they was at in their evolution.
