Why isn't Ivy or Chun-Li #1? Also, the announcer tries too hard...

I would ask why isnt Lara #1? Queen of videogames imo (some think she is overrated, others simply love her, cant please anyone, but truth is, she is awesome).

But yeah, Chun Li and Ivy rock hard. Awesome females in that list indeed!

Another thing I noticed: They spelled Lara Croft's name wrong. That's shameful for someone who won a decent 2nd place :(

I think Samus is fine at number 1. She was one of the first female main characters in a video game (that I can remember anyways).

I am not familiar with Nariko.

Every female video game character list that I've seen before this one has Samus 1st, Lara 2nd, and Chun Li 4th.

Samus is cool, I like her.

I also love Tifa, good to see her there as well!

And Im glad that Mk made that list in the form of Sonya Blade. Awesome.



Someone mentioned that it was done on purpose to give fans the trivia that her original name was supposed to be “Laura Cruz”. I guess they wouldn’t had gotten away with that trivia if they changed all her name or just her last name, which is obviously drastically different.

Lara should have got 1st place as far as I'm concerned. Yay for Sonya! Considering she's an MK character with 20 odd competiters it's great she got in, and so high as well.

The actual feature itself was bollocks though, MK1 footage, very little info on characters and they spelled Lara wrong, calling her Laura.

Lara Croft is simply THE woman of videogames. I think I’ll always be a bigger Sonya fan, but Lara fallows her extremely close that you can almost call it a tie.

And still, there’s just no dispute that Ms. Croft takes the crown.

I think they were going for the most classic MK game, but they should had used “MK vs DC” or at least “MKDA+”.

Nariko was an excellent character, IMO, "Heavenly Sword" itself was a very nice game with a very, very engaging storyline, it just didn't get the huge recognition it deserved (sadly, I think the two sequels were scrapped ). But yeah, Nariko should've been higher if you ask me, her persona was really dynamic, interesting, you really related and cheered for her all the way while admiring her courage in a scenario where she was completely looked down upon. Whoever hasn't played this game should give it a shot.

Anyways, the list is pretty nice. I haven't played much Soul Calibur, but I do like Ivy so I'm glad she made it in. Chun Li was expected in a list like this, though I personally don't see this much appeal in her character. Lara, of course, a huge icon in video-gaming. And you can't have a list of Top 10 Video Game Chicks without the female face of Mortal Kombat, Miss Sonya Blade! ^_^ Inclusion well deserved, without a doubt.

BTW, didn't people just recently find out that Samus is a woman, and everyone just thought it was a guy all these years? lol, I've never played the game, but this is what I heard.

no every one has always known she was a she.. at least the folks that have played metriod, normally when you beat it w/ 100% or so complete she takes off her suit & you see what she looks like. plus she sounds like a she, when shes hit and stuff.

In my personal list, Lara would be #1 and Sonya comes in 2nd. I love the TR franchise as much as I love Lara herself. I see her as the most famous female from the gameworld.

Sonya needs no explanation, she has gone back to really hot in MKvsDC, thank God!

No. Unfortuantly with Yoshinori Ono perverted ass running SF4, some of Chun Li's dignity has been compromised with her new alt costume.

It basically looks like she stole something out of DOA's wardrobe selection.

Yeah, but also, before that, in the anime movies and shows and that stuff, didnt they have Chun Li inprovocative cloths and looking even half naked? Im quite sure I saw her battle someone in her underwear clothes and stuff.

I hated when they did that too. But the fight itself was amazing.

Well, you're looking purely at appearance. It's not "Top 10 best video game character designs."
And Lara is, definitely one of the most iconic faces in Video Games. You'd have to be pretty deprived to see Lara Croft and not recognize her. In those terms, I'd say she deserves the #1 spot.
