No, they fall into the before category of characters who don't count (and I'm pretty sure they both had comic-book incarnations.
Why are you guessing? There's only one answer, you don't need to use two guesses.

No, it isn't Gemini. Gemini is in complete contact with Jax in Special Forces.
This character never appeared as a character model, they were not part of the area models in anything (so itisn't the Tempest, as that's the glowing red tower in the Chaosrealm), and their voice is never heard. They are major characters in some way, and they actually only get mentioned once throughout all of MK's history.

King Jerrod has had no model (if you don't count the headless statue in MKD konquest), but has been mentioned more than once... but this is the only character i can think of that even remotely fits the description.

Surely you don't count an illustration of a disembodied soul as a model?

Nope, none of the above are correct. This character was never even in th MK comic books. Their voice is never heard, and they are never seen, but they are still important to storyline details. Jerrod's headless statue would count as an in-game appearance, as it displayed his features as they really were, knowing Edenian art and culture. And disembodied spirits, they count as in-game appearances, as it IS a character, is it not?
Here's one last hint, if nobody gets it right, then I'll just make a new question. This character is NOT of Earthrealm, Outworld, Edenian, Chaosrealm, Netherrealm, Seido, Zaterran, or Vataernuss descent.

The One Being?
Edit: I seriously have no idea what this could be. Where the hell was this character/being even mentioned?
So, you're saying this character:
1.) Is human
2.) Has been mentioned only once
3.) Has never been seen, in concept art, in-game, in an arena, etc.
4.) Is not from Earthrealm, Outworld, Edenia, the Netherrealm, Seido, the Chaosrealm, Vaeternus, or Zaterra
5.) Has never been heard
6.) Is a major/important character
My only guess left is a god, like P'an Ku (Pangu,) who was apparently only mentioned in the novel, but gods are not even considered human, so I'm at a total loss.

No, that was an earlier guess, the One Being appeared briefly in Onaga's ending that was found in the Krypt in 3 coffins.

Nope. In the background of the Pit II in MK2, 2 characters stood on the back bridge. They were both nothing more than palettes of Liu Kang, but became forever shrouded in mystery, that is, until Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance came out, and the first palette was introduced as a character, the fire elemental Blaze. In his bio he was captured by Onaga's holy men, which would later prove to be the other palette, Hornbuckle.
Considering that nobody got this right, I'm just going to give this on away.
The answer is Martian Manhunter, as Wonder Woman mentioned him once in MK vs DCU, and he IS an importaant character, and if you picked up any hints, you may have figured out I was only referring to a character who didn't have a model or graphic in MORTAL KOMBAT, I never said he wasn't seen in other media.
But that was an intensely hard question.
Somebody else throw out a new one.

The storyline they copied was the alliance between Shang Tsung & Quan Chi. They teamed up in Conquest to try to defeat & kill Kung Lao.

Actually, he's on to something.
Mortal Kombat; Trilogy, Mortal Kombat 1 Raiden had a second Fatality that was not correctly programmed and was, in all truth, was occasionally unable to be performed. On th other hand, you may not be reffering to this one.
