Well I made my little trivia thing (took 4 hours) smile It might be a little too easy considering the trivia questions are right here.

http://www.c3it.com/trivia/

As for other trivia:

- The Saurian race of Reptile originally dwelled in Earthrealm until the century long clash between Raiden and Shinnok forced them all to flee to Zattera. Sort of like the dinosaurs of Earth becoming extinct.

- Chris Cassamassa (the actor that plays Scorpion in the first film) was a fire fighter and exotic dancer when the film came out (I live in Chicago, he lives in Chicago, Fox news did a piece on him). Actually I hope that I got that right. I would hate to besmerch Chris's rep if it was really Sub-Zero, or Reptile that was really the fireman / stripper from Chicago.

- Chris Cassamassa was not in the second Mortal Kombat movie, because he was a stunt double for George Clooney in the movie Batman & Robin.

- Cameron Diaz was cast as Sonya in the first Mortal Kombat movie, but she broke her wrist so she was replaced during production.

- The temples that are seen in the beginning of the first Mortal Kombat are where M. Bison had his underground fortress in the Street Fighter movie. In other words MK shot outside, Street Fighter shot inside.

- The first Mortal Kombat game was to be centered around Jean Claude Van Damn! (I have always heard hints of a famous movie martial artist, so I thought it was Bruce Lee). It makes me wonder if he was supposed to be Sonya's character if she was really going to be a male, but someone at Midway made them change it to a woman or if this is where they got the idea of Johnny Cage!

It's Johnny Cage. Cage in MK1 looks almost exactly like Van Damme in the movie Bloodsport.

Sonya was added because at the last minute when Boon or Tobias thought they should have "a Chun Li."
Sonya was supposedly based on Cynthia Rothrock.

originally, rain only appeared in the umk3 opening sequence.
but, due to so many people saying they found him, they decided to put him into the game

oh, and yes, ermac did originate in MK1, as a glitch, and appeared in the debug menu
also, smoke can not be found in MK1
Reptile was the first secret character in a fighting game.wink

The trivia has slid down the tubes. I thought that I was captain obvious, saving people from the well known. True Smoke is not in Mortal Kombat 1, but the team came up with his concept when making Mortal Kombat 1 for the Gameboy.

- Stryker was originally supposed to be in Mortal Kombat 1 instead of Sonya. He was also supposed to have the name of Jax. Stryker was supposed to appear in Mortal Kombat 2 as well, but the team left him out.

In a MK4 article in Game Pro magazine they said Raiden’s favorite food was Spicy Hot Wings and said Johnny Cage’s favorite color was Blue
