I waltz straight through the Lobby of the OIA building. Months of intesive training in Peru have made me all the more combat-savy. I never fully gave in my request to a few months of leave, so I fear that I will be chewed out by the General.
I walk by the familiar receptionist, who knows better than to question my sudden apperance this time. However, it is I that stops to question her, instead of the other way around.
"Is it true that B_C made rookie rank?"
"Why yes, yes it is. He's my hero."
I laugh at her apparent lack of intelligence. B_C? Hero? Yeah, and a teddy bear has been known to cause cancer. (Sarcasm for idiots
I stroll up to the painting, and touch the Head, Horse, and Hilt of the famed French Conqueror, waiting for the painting to move. It never does.
"What in the fu-"
I turn around as I hear heavy footfalls resounding from nowhere. I know that their are many secret tunnels to get into any area of the base, from any other location, but I've never expierenced that from within the lobby. And I have no idea of who's coming for me.
I walk back to the middle of the Atrium, and I realize that the receptionist is gone. I have no time to ponder this, as seemingly out of nowhere, three Cybernetic Guards appear. Each one is wielding a buzz-baton, and is looking quite menacing.
"Hey, guys. It's me!"
"You will cease and desist from the premises, you have three seconds to comply." They all seemed to say in unison.
"Oh hell naw."
All of three of them begin to circle me. It seems that they've been well trained.
"You are under arrest. We will bring you in for interrogation."
The first one lunges at me with an over-handed strike. My fore-arm meets metal, and the momentum is stopped. However, a deep welt already shows on my arm. I don't let that stop me, however, as my leg lashes out for it's mid-section.
I connect, sending it reeling. I turn to face the next one, just to be slapped in the face with the buzz-baton. My whole mind goes blank, before becoming fuzzy. My face burns, my balance is off, and I have no idea which way is up.
I'm brought back to focus, however, as I see another strike coming for me. I drop to the floor, going beneath the swing, and grab the cyborg's legs, pulling them out, while I pull myself up. The result has me on-top of the cyborg, buzz-baton in hand. I slam it down into the neck-plate of the cyborg, affectly short-circuting it. As I turn, I duck my head instinctivly, a baton whizzing past my head. It's the first Cyborg who I had kicked, and my boot print is still emblazoned in it's chest plate.
I ram it with a spear tackle, slamming the Machine against the wall, steel plates buckling beneath the weight. Using every ounce of strength in my body, I manage to pick the whole thing up, and slam it down to the floor in a wrestling take-down. The resulting slam shakes the whole lobby, and the robot seemed to mal-function.
At this time, the third Cyborg Rushes. It dives through the air, head first, coming straight for me. I hit the deck, grabbing a discarded Baton, and slap the Cyborg's baton away with one motion, causing both to short-circut, before slamming the electroincally de-funct piece of metal into the back-slot of the attacking robot.
The intruding piece of steel jabs into the artifical life-system support, effectively shutting this cyborg down. For good.
I feel a small sense of accomplishment, before old layouts of the building appear in my head.
"S***" is the last word I get out before I am penetrated by seventeen different types of tranquilzier darts.
