sonya get seriously injured in mk10 and have to become a cyborg

jax fully become cybernetic.

just those two i guess, because their stories haven't went anywhere in the past games.

Yeah because Freddy is casual garbage from a different franchise that has nothing to do with MK.

Cyborgs on the other hand are a big part of the MK story. So yeah I'd take 5 more Cyborgs over 5 guest fighters.

Only the Cyrax and Sektor, otherwise no...

I'm surprised noone said this. He's already go the eye. He would thirst for the cybernetic advantage the Lin Kuei offer (maintaining his own thoughts). He even smuggled in the parts in Legacy.

But anyway, I sort of agree with her story in the first 4 games going like that. But the OIA was still functional for most of the story in MK:DA, as you can see in Cyrax's bio, not sure what happened to the agency during MK: Deception though. In MK:D, Sonya, along with her friends, were resurrected by Onaga and bound to his will, only to be freed by Ermac and spirit Liu Kang later in the story. Afterwards Sonya and her friends were now alive to participate in the Battle of Armageddon, by what we saw in MK 2011, everyone was killed in the battle.

Her story is pretty much the same in the altered MK1. During MKII, there is a difference due to Raiden's meddling with the timeline: Sonya is rescued before the tournament is over. As for the events of MK3, all goes as smoothly as it did in the original timeline, except for the fact that we didn't see her fight Kano on the rooftop and........you know........ALL HER FRIENDS ARE KILLED!! Except Johnny Cage, Raiden and possibly Liu Kang.

If Sonya's arcade ladder ending is canonical, then for the future of MK, we could be seeing more character development for our first female fighter in the series.

Cyrax and Sektor are the only cyborgs that should EVER be in Mortal Kombat.
