I'm sorry if this has been posted already but I've been following MK since the first one!! I pretty much know but in terms of power and status who are the most powerful to least powerful characters? I would LOVE if you all made a lit of who you think is powerful to least powerful and why? I'll do my list in a bit.

I would think this belongs in the Overall Mortal Kombat Discussion forum.
But I would say, as of now, Khan, Raiden, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi.

Oh I think your right actually thanx Luca! And yeah that's actually the names I was thinking in my head!

unfortunately, there's really no way for us to tell who is the most powerful or least powerful. (though the most powerful would no doubt be Shao Kahn
) we haven't played the game yet or even know who all the fighters are. if i had to guess though i'd say that the top tier fighter would be Scorpion since he's Ed's favorite.

Well yeah that makes sense to I keep seeing Shao Kahn embedded in my brain as the most powerful but then Raiden pops up and many others. I'll all so cool to imagine!

I think he's speaking canonically, not in-game tiers.

Prety much that. Just add Shinnok, Onaga and Blaze up there.
Also up for inclusion is Ermac. Remember, in his Deception ending, he was shown to single-handedly fend off Cage, Jax, Kung Lao, Sonya, and Kitana at the same time. That's scary.

I'd like to fight as Argos and Dehlia she'd be a great Scarlet Witch style character; could stop time, change probability, hexes/curses, voodoo, spirit summons, she even looks unique. I hope Raiden's changes stop both Daegon/Taven by means of stopping Argos/Dehlia.
Anyways IMO the most powerful are:
1. Blaze (MKA version)
2. Sindel
3. Shao Khan
4. Dragon King
5. Raiden
6. Ermac
7. Noob Saibot

Correct me if I'm wrong but MKDA said that Lui was the strongest earthrealm warrior and Shao Kahn was the strongest outworld warrior. Also didn't Goro win 9 consecutive wins for the Earthrealm Mortal Kombat tournament?
Raiden has got to be up there. He was the only good guy to survive the MKDA tournament, and he is one of the last guys standing during MKA.
Onaga takes on Quan, Shang, and Raiden at the same time. Clearly he is the strongest. However, he has a glaring weakness with the kamidogu pieces. I don't know how strong he is in MKA. He insn't fused with Reptile so maybe his power drops.
I don't know how tough Blaze is. He only fights in one tournament where we can measure his power, and he doesn't make the finals. I would say he is in the top 10 or 15.
Quan has done nothing to show he is really powerful.
As for Shinnok I don't know shit about MK4 or Shinnok. That story line didn't interest me, and it got a little too complex. I don't really know how tough he is but I would assume he is on par with Raiden.

The "One Being" isn't real, it's a myth!
Anyways hmmmm..... Hard to say....
At the time era of Deception, it's Onaga. That blast from Raiden didn't even scratch Onaga! And no one was able to actually defeat him in combat! However it is because of all the Kamidogu's that basically was making him invincible. Though then how Onaga does fall is Nightwolfs ending is canon and is it Nightwolf from the Neatherrealm that like summoned and trapped Onaga's soul or some thing in the Neatherrealm. So then when he comes back in MKA, Onaga doesn't have the Kamidogu and I think is in his own body or new reincarnation of his body or some thing.... Anyways I don't think we have any real canonical reference to Onaga's true power of his own? Unless you say Shao Kahn defeated Onaga to take the throne of Outworld in the first place, but that was long ago.... meh Shao probably still stronger then now.......
hmmmm..... I think overall I might have to say Raiden..... Though go to specific point in times and it is different people at different moments. Top guys though, Raiden, Liu Kang, Shao Kahn, Onaga, Ermac, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Quan Chi....

As far as story goes andonly includingplayable characters;
-Raiden, Fujin, Shinnok : They're gods, so they're theoretically the most powerful playable characters, although their powers probably are limited in mortal form.
-Liu Kang: He's beaten almost every main bad guy, including Goro, Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn twice, and Shinnok, who was an elder god, extremely powerful. Also he probably has some sort of champion strength.
-Shao Kahn: He's pretty much the greatest threat to the realms.
Onaga: In a way he's immortal, and connected with the one being.

Well I would personally think that Raiden,Shinnok & Fujin because their Gods of some sort! And then Shao Kahn of course and then we have the sorcerers:Quan Chi & Shang Tsung. Also it appears Ermac is very very powerful along with Scorpion and Liu Kang since he defeated Kahn when no one else could. And Kahn is about to once again slay Raiden. I would also like to believe that Nightwolf is pretty powerful due to his ability to be able to transfer Onaga's soul to the Netherealm.

Onaga was defeated because the Kamidogu were shattered by Shujinko, after he'd copied the powers of most of MKD's cast all at once (which includes Scorpion's Champion of the Elder Gods-level strength)
Nightwolf did his suck Onaga's soul back to the Netherealm spell after Shujinko softened Onaga up for him.
Anyway, without the Kamidogu, his normal power level is probably somewhere around Kahn's, probably less because Kahn has spent millennia stealing souls and growing stronger since the time he poisoned Onaga and took over Outworld. (That said, Kahn himself is weaker in Deception and Armageddon than he was at the height of his power in MK3, because he lost Edenia and Earth and all the souls therein.)

So who do you think is more powerful? Shao or Onaga?
Also why do people think Sub-zero and Quan are powerful? I like both of them but that doesn't mean they are on the same level as Raiden or Shao. I'm pretty sure Scoprion is more powerful than both of them.
