Now that we have Freddy's gameplay trailer, we've got a look at his moveset as well. It's hard to tell what would be the enhanced version's effects at this point, but here is what we could see:

**Now updated with official names from movelist, where applicable. [ ] indicates an unofficial name.**

[High Claw Swipe]
Seems to greatly resemble Skarlet's blade uppercut attack where he dashes back and then does a pop-up swipe to set up juggles and what not (or continue juggles, since at least one of his combos also ends in a pop-up). It may not be a special move since it wasn't listed in the special move list.

[Low Claw Swipe]
Same as above, but hits low and knocks your opponent away. Possible wall juggle if they're close to the edge? Also possibly not considered a special move.

Hell Spike (EX: Hell Blast)
Freddy stabs into the ground and giant claws pop out, can do it at close, medium, or far range. The claws also function as a pop-up, hinting that Freddy is going to be a juggle intensive character.
Close: Down, Back, FP
Medium: Down, Foward, FP
Far: Down, Back, Forward, FP

Freddy Fingers (EX: Freddy's Edge)
Freddy sends out at arm that crawls across the floor and hits someone. It's basically a low-hitting projectile.
Command: Down, Back, BP

Glove Toss (EX: Power Glove Toss)
Freddy seems to throw his hands (or a pair of hands at least) at you. Hard to tell much else beyond the fact that it's a projectile. Looks kind of slow compared to other projectiles though.
Command: Back, Forward, BP

Sweet Dreams (EX: Deep Sleep)
Freddy makes a gesture and a green blob falls (kind of slowly) from the sky directly above your opponent. If it hits them, they seem to be dazed. So it's basically a free hit move if it connects much like Sub-Zero's freeze, Cyrax's net, or Kabal's dash. Considering how slow it looks, it will probably be hard to hit with it unless you catch your opponent in the middle of something else like he did in the video. It only lasts for about a second.
Command: Down, Forward, BK

Dream Shift (EX: Hell Shift)
Seems to be your standard teleport but he has two different versions (away and towards) and they seem to go a set distance so you may or may not end up in front of your opponent.
Forward: Down, Forward, FK
Away: Down, Back, FK

Throw
Freddy grabs his opponent, shushes them, then stabs and tosses them away.

X-Ray
Freddy lunges at his opponent from about jump distance away for a double claw to the chest and then claw to the face. The opponent is knocked away at the end so it cannot be combo'd afterwards.

Fatality 1: Tell 'Em Freddy Sent Ya
Freddy drags his opponent into a fiery pit and it squirts up blood.
Command: Back, Forward, Down, Down, FP (Jump Distance)

Fatality 2: Name Unknown
Freddy summons a furnace and hurls his opponent into it, burning them alive. When they try to escape he slams the door, chopping off their arm in the process.
Command: ???

From what we can tell, he seems pretty fast and has a wide array of tools to make him a contender. Considering his variety of pop-ups, he'll probably rely a bit on his juggles.

What do you think?

*thanks to drpvfx for some corrections!*

Ground Claw
Freddy stabs into the ground and giant claws pop out, seems to have multiple versions for different distances away. The claws also function as a pop-up, hinting that Freddy is going to be a juggle intensive character.

Claw Projectile
Freddy seems to throw his hands (or a pair of hands at least) at you. Hard to tell much else beyond the fact that it's a projectile. Looks kind of slow compared to other projectiles though.

Crawling Hand
Basically the above, but hits low. In this version he sends out at arm that crawls across the floor and hits someone.

Dream Attack
Freddy makes a gesture and a green blob falls (kind of slowly) from the sky directly above your opponent. If it hits them, they seem to be dazed. Teleport
Seems to be your standard teleport.

Throw
Freddy grabs his opponent, shushes them, then stabs and tosses them away.

X-Ray
Freddy lunges at his opponent from about jump distance away for a double claw to the chest and then claw to the face. Can't see how it ends to know if it can be combo'd afterwards or not.

Fatality 1
Freddy drags his opponent into a fiery pit and it squirts up blood.

Fatality 2
Freddy summons a furnace and hurls his opponent into it, burning them alive. When they try to escape he slams the door, chopping off their arm in the process.

I think he has serious potential. I did notice the claw projectile was kind of slow, though. The fatalities were amazing! Better than Skarlet's and Rain's, imo.

Even though I'm not a fan of him appearing in MK and won't download him, I have to say that his furnace fatality is totally awesome. The other fatality is nice as well, but doesn't come close to the furnace.

His X-ray seems lacking.

As for his moves, he looks like a mixture of Baraka, Kabal and Scorpion.

So all in all, I think they got his character down, and his gameplay looks decent as well. If only he weren't a guest character. tongue

One small but important difference-
his Teleport puts him in *front* of the opponent, not behind,
like all the other ones do.
Also, that projectile was an EX move-
it's not certain that will be a projectile in regular form (think Cyrax' Buzzsaw).

I'm sure he'll be capable-
he even seems like a nasty match-up for Rain,
with all those fast, close-range attacks.

His moves are pretty sweet to be honest. X-Ray is lacking somewhat, but his Fatalities are pretty good. Better than Kratos

You were one of the people who was furious about Freddy a few minutes ago.......... So what've we learned today? Not to pass just judgement on something just because the popular opinion is against it?

The Claw summon move seems like it will work like Shangs ground fireball where you can summon it from close, mid and far. Combine that with low and high fireball ( claw projectiles ) , a stun move and a teleport, Freddy is going to be fucking GOD TIER and I LOVE IT.

i like the dream move you mentioned. reminds me of quan chi's trance move come to think of it.

freddy has alot of potential in mk and im gona laugh when all the haters jump on the bandwagon and enjoy him

His teleport seems to be just as fast as Raidens, except he's right infront of the enemy.

Cant wait!

Kenshi's Mind Warp (MKD) and Freddy's Fire Port (MK 2011)= infront of opponent.

Looks good so far. Still lots of time for his release, tey can work on him a bit more.

Awesome thread! Good job, GOT!

I must admit, Freddy looks very impressive.

Btw, where did you get the official names for some of his moves and enhanced specials? Thanks!

Watching people on the stream play as Freddy. One of them paused the game to look up his fatality real quick and I paused the stream and wrote them down as he scrolled.

The video was a little blurry so I'm not 100% sure that the EX Dream Shift is called Hell Shift. The first word is definitely Hell, but the second was really hard to make out.

Having one of his main moves as a near/mid/far move will probably keep me from getting too deep with him,
as it has done with Jax, Shang, Kenshi, etc.

I just can't get used to MK's way of doing move variants.
I prefer the straightforward Capcom approach- same motion/different button

I'm sure he'll be a real nightmare (har har) in experienced hands!
