Thanks. I think i can help you with connecting to mk online, because i had the same problem; it was telling me to check my ethernet cables etc but my connection was fine. Just pm me here or on psn to tell me what is the exact problem.

Pre-Character selection is stupid. Let people be whomever they like. Like real tournaments and all the big streams we have been watching.
Now is the time for MKO to implement e-mail notification for PM's and have a massive PM distributor to update everybody via PM for everything. Because if I dont dig through every little thread on the website, I get stuck with randoms?
This is completely amateur. I'm actually insulted at the simplicity and bullshit that flows to us to take care of issues that should be your job..

I kinda agree with cassleman, if you go on the gamebattles.com website theres a very organized way to do it, it will be especialy helpful when we start the league play, if you can check it out it may help you.

Hey you guys are being a bit too harsh on the man.

Organizing a good tournament online is such a FUKIN difficult task because usually half of the contestants aren't dedicated and blow it off.
His idea of each contender having one specific character from the MK9 roster is IMO brilliant. Yeah I know that there's a high chance u wont get ur main or one of ur mains. But the randomness is what makes it exciting, plus ur given plenty of time too practice.

Let's not also forget that last month we (ps3 team) were supposed to have a classic tournament (pick ur own character(s)). Switching it up, and giving us different variety of tournaments is what's gonna keep making it interesting.

And so far this June tournament is playing out pretty well. I think the the key for a successfull tourney is of course dedicated players. So I suggest that in the future U make the tournaments smaller, like this one. May's tournament was never going to work.

Wow people, chill. I've been checking these tourney threads continuously and I think the organizers are doing a good job. Whatever question I asked, it was answered. It's the players that didn't show up in the end and it's really their fault. If you said you'd participate in something, then do it right and check for updates, it only takes 5min max. I'm talking here about the numerous no-shows the May 360 tourney suffered from.


It's been known for months that the June tournament would be a draft type tournament. You don't get a character you're good with, so what, you're not the only one. It's all just fun, it's not like we, the players, invested money or have anything else at stake. It's just meant to give people from MKO a chance to play against each other, have fun and get to know each other a bit better in the process. There'll be plenty more tournaments coming up and even league play, so you'll all have plenty of chances to play your favorite characters and show your skill.


What pisses me off though is the stupid region lock on the online play that came like a slap to my face. I've been monitoring these tourney threads every single day for news, was really eager to play, submitted my full list of characters for the June tourney only to be forced to withdraw because I'm from PAL territory and can't play NTSC players, not even on my US account which I only created to see if I'll be able to participate that way.



Point is: people just have fun, at least you have a chance to play.

I have nothing against the people organizing this. I rather like M0s3pH. I was once part of trying to plan this out. but in all honesty, its just not working.

I think you guys are being a bit unreasonable,ever since this tournament has been announced its had a draft format, the thread isn't buried on page 32 that had the pairings it's on the first page and in that thread he asked everyone to send their list of preferences and it was sticked at the very top of the page for weeks, not days.

It makes much more sense for people to schedule their matches themselves because schedules fluctuate and people live in different time zones.

Yeah, I think the draft format and all the other "special" tournaments over the course of a year is kinda cool. I don't agree that it's not working. It's hard to find a thread, I agree, but threads on mko's forum software are a clusterf*** overall, so what did you expect?

Shout out to theLASTblackdragon.. great matches man.. seriously had me scared in the second round that i had become predictable, lol
