I don't really play online all that much, but even offline you can tell once you've played Mileena for a while that she's not an easy character.

Her style is very reactive, you can't really just rush your opponent and expect to win. In such a fast paced game, many people are unwilling to play a character that has to take a step back and wait for an opportunity to strike.

However, once Mileena gets going she can really devastate your opponent. I've seen people using Mileena like some kind of relentless assault super weapon, but I think a lot of that relies on the predictability of the opponent, because we all know just how punishable Mileena is when not played carefully.... As a matter of fact, I could easily see someone getting punished for floating in the air for an eternity after a blocked ball roll and just never playing her again.

I have no clue about Sektor, but from what I've seen he doesn't suffer from the same difficulty curve as Mileena. Maybe he's just fallen by the wayside by chance? I think his style is pretty fun.

I love the gay room lol, it's the only time I get to see Sindel, Sheeva, and Jade really ever too, but yes Mileena is a favorite in that room haha.

I was in there the other day and I was surprised by how many people there were, sometimes there's like 30, other times there's like 5, so boss that people make rooms though.

They are all with Mileena. All of them.
She is great, but just like someone else here
said...she does take practice, and her moves are
reactive to her subjects'. 35% combos with no
Super Meter are quite typical for me, and I find
using ANYONE else in the game much tougher.

Ironically, I laughed when i saw this topic!
Only because...NO BODY EVER plays as her
enough online for people to become familiar with
her moveset. ((Lucky for me)) and then, they send
me a message (OMG..I never seen a Mileena like that).

Simply put. She's great, just like all the other characters.
She has her own "swag" but dont think it's a SURE win
if you run up against her.

i use both. Actually my goal is to learn a few BnB/Advanced combos for each character. So far i learned Scorpion,sub-zero,reptile,ermac,noob,smoke,kitana,mileena,jade,skarlet,sektor,cyrax,cyzero,sindel,sonya,and jax.

Mileena is probabley my 1st or second best character with scorpion.
Sektor takes some getting used to.

And if that rumor if the 5 least popular bullcrap comes to pass it'll be retarded.
Don't let the mainstream players who don't even try to learn this game decide who stays.The easiest characters shouldnt automatically get a free pass.

sektor's one of my mains. i usually just rely on his good special moves and a couple of straightforward combos, im no expert with him.

but yeah, it's really odd that the spammers dont seem to have discovered sektor yet. his zoning game is superb. the up missiles are pretty useful too - it's hilariously effective firing the up missiles in front of the opponent so that they jump right into it.

mileena's a pretty bland character tbh.

Sektor is one of my mains(I guess you can say I main the Cyborgs) and I love using him because he hits hard and surpringly fast.


And I surprised people don't use them, they're cheap as fuck. Seriously have you seen their teleports?

Sektor is the best character I utilize. No doubt about his endless amounts of oppurtunities. He has an anti-jump special, at least one jump-in combo, and a homing missle! What more do you want? An unpunishable teleport... Oh wait!

Sektor's underminded for various reasons but I'm slightly glad no one uses Sektor online. I only picked up the character after learning Shang Tsung (after learning Liu Kang) because I became familiar with ceiling projectiles. You can set just about anyone up with enough "spam" for any combo you can think of. Great, great character.

She's one of my mains, I use her all the time. I can do my 22 hit combo blindfolded, online, all day long.

Not always but often and there's usually a good amount of people in them, around 25-30 surprisingly often.

I do, I also noticed they weren't used as much as others and decided to learn to play with them, Mileena is the hardest to use out of the two though... and it doesn't quite help that Skarlet is released, who surpasss mileena on almost all points in terms of fighting... I continue to play as her though, I did manage to string a nice 30 %ish combo with her...

I use Sektor quite often, actually more then one of my main C.Sub-zero and more as the popular Cyrax... thing is though people are hating on Sektor becuase of his missiles, dare I prtect myself from Sheeva's Stomp move with and upward projectile I'm instantly spamming according to some... MK3 outfit makes it that more appealing to play as :D (As is the mk2 one for mileena)

Shang Tsung is another one I haven't come across and try to learn to play with him aswell, considering i'm quite decent with alot of characters transforming in the opponent is a neat trick for me, unfortunatly my SF pad doesn't like circular motions that much and it's kicking low mostly ...

Maybe we'll meet online someday :)

Is it just me or does sektor seem really slow compared to the other fighters?

Ur crazy, I'm ranked 170 in ranked and been Hammered by both plenty of times. And in no way am I bragging cause I am just average, but I obviously play alot of ranked matches. A good Mileena player will have u blocking high and low until she pops u up and punishes the shiat out of you.

Ive noticed rage quitting has gotten worse on PS3 in the last week. Out of 10 matches 5 will quit!

It's common with me before the match even starts. Seems like if I use Kitana people just quit straight away. One guy quit after I beat him in a comeback round after he beat me in the first round. Like it literally would have been a tie break between us, yet he quit. I don't get online mentality :/

I can completely relate. I main Raiden. I pick him. Nerf Derf I quit.

I main Mileena, so if you fight me online at all you'll be fighting her. Typically, I use her 1st alt until I get bored with it, then switch to the klassic. I guess she's not seen too much because she's harder to get used to than say, Smoke or Scorpion. Not hating, but she doesn't have a lot of easy combos to pull off. It takes time to master her. I'm still working on it.

Never really been a big fan of Sektor or any of the cyborgs, really. But props to people who master them. Seen some really good ones.

But, I haven't been online since the patch. Probably won't be until the kinks are worked out.
