It generally takes a lot of good, competative play for the tier list to become really apparent. I doubt there'd be a reasonably accurate one for a little while at least.

MKII Reptile is broke as a joke, Kabal is still heavily deompiled though. It's hard to say exactly because it seems to desync when Konqrr and I tried playing it online, but we might not have tested it enough. The only way to truly judge character brokenness is through vs mode. I wish they would make a more serious version, leaving all the original characters untouched, unless balanced, not given new crazy stuff, and making the add on characters a little more sane as well, because it seems like they can do whatever they want to gameplay so it's theoretically possible they could tweak the game enough to make it play even more like the arcade as well.

MK2KungBroken, I got to talk to the guy, he said that he could make this same hack for UMK3 for MAME, but he said it would take a year, and here is an updated version of Ultimate MK3 Patched, in this one the MK2 extra characters Sub-Zero, Smoke, etc. have moves and finishing moves, and also there is another patched to add the MK2 versions of Kitana, Jade, and Mileena, but I think Kitana the the only one with moves, here they are:

ok, it unzipped it or whatever, but now the Gens.exe inside the two folders, 0.76 and 1.00, gets an error message, this is not a valid Win32 application. That and the hack seems very small compared to the other ones. Can somebody help?

OK guys, follow these directions and you can't go wrong, what I have highlighted it where you click, ok here we go:

Step 1: go here: http://www.worldlingo.com/ & click on the free translator tools:


Step 2: now click on website translator and do exactly what I have shown in this picture:


Now should be able to see the website in English:

Step 3: Click On Roms/the games


Step 4: Click On Sega Genesis


Step 5: Click On U


Step 6: Find UMK3 Hack 9(second game on the page), and then at the end of its description click on "To skachat"(download)


Step 7: If you have a Popup Blocker on, turn it off, a window will open saying the following:


Now click on "Csylka(download)" and the Download Window should popup and you should be able to download the new version of the game

Now How The Patch Works:

Most of you the got the patch for the addon's for MK2 Kitana, Jade, & Mileena for the new version with no problem, ok here how you do it.

Once you get the file unzipped, do this

go to the file's folder and click on this


Once its open, it will ask what do you want patch, in this case would be the updated version of UMK3 Patched((1635) UMK 3 !!!.bin), not the one you already have, then hit patch.


Now MK2Kitana is the only with moves and finishing moves at the moment. I have moves in stuff, I will translate them and post them later.

I played this, and it's one of the coolest things I ever played. It's missing some things that MKT has, but I imagine when this guy gets done it'll be bigger than MKT. I think he should throw in some new tunes tho. For those who want codes for the original UMK3 go to this link

QUESTION:
At the mode select screen, the "MORTAL KOMBAT" Block says '1player' at the bottom of it. If you press 'X' (for genesis) it changes to '2 players'.
You can keep pressing x and it will change to 3... 4... all the way to 8 and then it goes back to one. That number is how many characters you can pick. But for some reason it doesn't change anything about the match. You only play as the first person you chose. Does anyone have any explanation?

*You can do the same thing with 2v2 by pressing 'Y' That actualy does something though.

Ok, if you patched UMK3 Hack 9 with the (1635) - (1749) patch already, then you need to reinstall the game then patched it with the (1635) - (1815), just follow the same directions as before.

This new version is very, it works unlike the last one! lol. I wish they would tone some of the stuff down, or work on the arcade roms. I like how they added portraits on the Destiny Towers, next they need to rearrange the selection screen's current set up a bit so all the characters with alternate versions are on the edges, and maybe add portraits to the select screen. Overall, very awesome. I love the way Jade's stick throw juggles in air.

What type of emulator do i need to play this game? I have two genesis emulators but they don't seem to work? EDIT(Nevermind it works)
