Well we KNOW that Reptile and Khameleon are Raptors or Zatereans (the term Saurian is never actually used in a game). Both of their bios from previous games makes this clear.
Chameleon on the other hand, we DO NOT KNOW what he is. He could be a Raptor but he equally could NOT be. As of now, from what little we know about him, he is not involved with the Raptors in any way shape or form. Of course, this could all change tomorrow should his bio be released which states that he is. I think too many fans are jumping the gun on labeling Chameleon a Raptor.
I don't buy that whole "de-volving" retcon garbage storyline. Midway was just trying to explain away their character design laziness during the first three games. Even though Reptile's fatalities and endings made it more than clear that he was in fact reptilian, not human, throughout the entire saga. MK:SM also makes this more than clear. So in short: Reptile is, was, and always will be a reptilian looking Raptor, not a human. By extension the same would also have to apply to Khameleon as well. Chameleon on the other hand? Who knows? At least for the time being.
I'd also like to know how Onaga's species fits into this whole scenario. If Reptile was similar enough in genetic makeup to be a host body, is Onaga similar enough to mate with Khameleon?

The possible reason for her non-Saurian appearance is th fact that, with all the remaining Raptors sans Reptile and herself annihilated, she is technically the current matriarch of the Raptor race (what's left of it anyway). It has been established that as soon as the Raptors lose contact with the matriarch, they start to devolve into their primal form. The reverse is also true. The closer they are,the more human they look. Wouldn't make much sense if the matriarch herself looked like a crocodile, now would it?

If you look closely at Khameleon's selection picture, you'll notice that she looks like a female Chameleon. They both share the same transparent skin trait and both have teal masks. If Khameleon is a Raptor, and she looks like Chameleon, then it's obvious that Chameleon is in fact a Raptor as well. Either that, or they will retcon that out of her story, which would suck because the Raptor thing is the only piece of story she has.

Well this is very simple if this happens....
You can only have 1 kaf access when playing offline. Thus this game on the wii isnt online so therefor there only being 1 kak slot makes more sense.

Heh, it's going to take more than beautiful women for Mortal Kombat to make DOA look like shit, at this point.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of Khameleon's design. I wonder if, like the male counterpart, she randomly changes color and has a composite outfit based off the female "ninjas"?

Oh dear is that UMK3 Kitana wearing a grey veil with Noob Saibot's UMK3 background?
Midway could have been more creative with her mug shot.

it seems strange that all the pictures on the choosin character screen are easy to see but the khameleon one is still a little blurryier from the other even if she a little ghostly
Has anyone seen this much clearer version?
Also, Ed Boon confirmed the Wii version will have 64 characters in total =O

The 64th character is the KAK. Boon said in the article that the only new fighter would be Khameleon.

Why did they give Khameleon that "Dolly Parton" and like classy hair style? lol.
None the less, I dont think shes looks bad at all. Also if you look carefully you can see that she has the same head band thingy as Chameleon. Cool.

With identical names except for the trademark Mortal Kombat 'K' on the female, and their similiar look (grey ninja) in Trilogy, one would only expect more similiarities such as that.
But YAY, she's in! Now there truely is everybody in history. Let's all party and forget all the times we bitched and wished about this moment.

Ahaha, what have we here? This time around they perfected this clone/gender swap of the already ultimate swapper? There is about slim to nothing which contradicts this now. Of course, having an outdated story with predictable outcomes if canonized, still leaves her as the better character. Hmm, makes sense .
Truth aside, do you believe that it's also save to say, that there is a blood-relationship between the two characters, possibly they're twin siblings? The headband could be a symbolic clothing worn by individuals of the same family. On the other hand, it might also simply be nothing else than a {traditional Zaterran} headgear.

So they made her simply a female Chameleon after all. Ugh. Disappointing....but not at all surprising.
At least story-wise things will be complete. I hope she fucking kills Chameleon and rids the world of his worthless ass forever.

IGN has a clearer pic of the selection screen. So for those wanting a less pixelated version can go check it out there.
