All this would mean is a lot of the MK 1, 2 and 3 rosters returning. Because they are the ones who are instantly recognisable to average fans.

Sure there’s action figures and T-shirts sold to small children, great business tactics, making the cartoons and most of the movies showing a colorful side.

But on the other side, once you read some of the stories (the graphic novels), quite a bit of the DC universe is equal to or even darker than Mortal Kombat.

For instance, Batman’s villains are full of psychopaths. Instead of Mortal Kombat’s usual hero squad, (the chosen ones) Batman is the only hope to his doomed city. And most of his villains reflect what he could possibly turn into. Hinting that he’s just one step away from being as crazy as them. (maybe already is, but focuses it in a different way. “Well, a guy who dresses up like an bat clearly has issues.”)The point: As much as I don't want to see this, and believe me I don't. The two crossing is one of the weirdest ideas I've seen. To everyone else: Remember, we all laughed at the person who said Motaro had two legs in MKA. I don't think Midway could even afford the rights to DC, but a crossover game is a viable possibility, even if unlikely. Still, be critical of everything till Thursday.

I'll attempt and find it. Those who would wanna maybe aid in my quest for it, it was on the forums for Superherohype.com in either the Justice League or The Dark Knight manips thread. I'll keep an eye out for it.

The only plausibility MKvsDC had lied in that image. There's always the registered domain name, but virtually anyone could be responsible for that.

I know that it's been said before, but doesn't anyone realize what a crossover game actually entails? Basically, we'd be seeing half of the roster as MK characters and half of the roster would be DC characters. Also, you don't introduce brand new characters in a cross over game. Look at all of the Capcom VS games, name one game that featured a brand new character designed for Street Fighter or anything of the sort that debuted in a Versus game.

How did we get from Ed Boon's statement in 06 to the possibility of having NOTHING BUT OLD CHARACTERS in the next MK game? And not just a few obvious characters like Scorpion and Sub Zero, as Ed Boon himself has hinted at in interviews since 06, but probably half of a roster of old MK characters?

Maybe he wanted to pull the wool over our eyes, but that fact, coupled with MK's relaunching the series still leads me to believe that MK vs DC is a lie created to mess with gamers and "insiders" alike.

We'll see, but the facts and the rumors simply don't match.

Im tired of seeing everyone get upset and not being able to figure out the whole truth to all this.

I have a friend that works for midway...blah blah blah yea I know you heard it all before. Once you read my post you will know im telling the truth.

My friend could also loose his job if he was caught but there really is no way for him to get caught since I will not release his name nor mine. There is tons of staff at midway and any of them could relaese info. So midway dont bother trying to figure out who I am.

Ok here are the FACTS!

There is going to be a MK vs DC game, but not the way everyone is thinking. You know how Mortal Kombat Deception was later released for the GameCube and had Shao Kahn and Goro. And Mortal Kombat Armagedon came out for the Wii later with Khameleon.

Well this time around Mortal Kombat 8 will not be able to be released for the Nintendo Wii. As Mortal Kombat 8 is going to use the Unreal 3 Engine and the Nintendo Wii cannot run the Unreal 3 Engine. (Dont believe me, look it up)

So b/c of this there going to release an eclusive Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe game just for the Nintendo Wii. This is very easily going to be done as they already have the Engine (MKA Engine) and all the MK characters already made. They just have to make the DC characters and DC backgrounds and pick out there favorite MKA characters and bam, have an eclusive game for the Wii that was very easy to make. And its perfect for testing grounds on a VS game in the future. Also the T rating is something DC and Nintendo wanted. Which means its going to be MKA style fighting but no blood or fatalitys.

But dont worry guys...The real Mortal Kombat 8 is still being made and its going to be realistic and gory and for xbox 360 and PS3.

Also the date 8/8/08 on www.noob.com is not the release date for MK8 its the release date for Nintendo Wii's MK vs DC.

I hope this clears all the crap up on the web. We will see a little info very soon but not all the info I just gave up. Im also going to try to get more info. I personally wont purchase this MK vs DC crap..its just a way for them to make fast easy money. Basicly just picture MKA with only about half the MK characters and the other characters are replaced with DC characters and no fatalitys (even though MKA fatalitys sucked anyway). So a crapper Version of MKA...YA!

By now, everyone and their mother has a friend working at Midway.

We had a conversation with the person who posted this rumor in his site, and he explained that the picture is fake. Then he told us the entire story: that
last night he checked the usual official sources for media and information (Midway's Press Site).
He logged in, and there was 5 titles listed for release in the second half of the year.
One of them was Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe .
The section was empty and he decided that this was preparations for MGD that is in just a few days.
So he went and posted the news.
When he refreshed the page, the entire press site was offline. And yesterday everything was back to normal with only one game listed for release during the second half of the year.
His suspicion was that someone (the person who updates the press site) accidentally updated the site with information that wasn't suppose to be there yet.
So there is no need to prove that this picture is fake because he admitted it.
Maybe he is right and someone put it earlier by mistake and then put it away so this rumor is true. Or someone put it to decive us and start this panic. We don't know we will find in 28 hours.

I start thinking the fact that as many users say in this site this MK VS DC crap is only a wii version and the real mk8 will be out only for ps3 and xbox360. I don't know.. it's possible. Why would you guys apologies when Im right. I dont blame you guys for not believing. To many people come on here saying there either someone or know someone and act like they know something to raise attention. I simply posted to help stop some of you from getting to worked up thinking MK8 is the crossover game. If that was the case MK would be dead. But no MK8 is all MK and will be out for 360 and PS3. All I simply wanted to do is ease some of your minds.
